As Zeus launched a great bolt of shocking lightening, Poseidon raised a sweeping wave of the oceans water, Hera held her hands out to darken the skies, Ares hurled his golden sword at the core of the great cloud of darkness, Aphrodite propelled her danger to fly alongside Ares' sword, Demeter swiped her sickle at him, Artemis and Apollo released a swarming volley of arrows into the glowing pits of his eyes and mouth, Hephaestus created a burning stream of fire into the heart of Tartarus, Khione blasted a chilling breeze of icy snow to merge with Hephaestus' blazing red, Thor wielded Mjolnir to the heavens and summoned a mighty mass of electricity to blast at him, I pictured the glowing moon in my mind and raised my hands over my head and flicked them forward to shoot twirls of silver wisps at the menacing darkness as Hecate formed a glistening field around Tartarus.

I screamed with all the might I could muster and propelled all the throbbing energy through my hands and into the enemy before us. I screamed until my jaw grew tight and drops of crimson fell from my nose. I screamed to protect my realm, to protect Olympus, to protect Earth, to protect the universe, to protect my father.

I watched with my drying eyes as Tartarus shone an overwhelming, radiant purple then imploded inside Hecate's protective shielding. I dropped my hands instantly and blocked my eyes from the damaging shower of purple luminescence as it pierced through the shield and into the darkened heavens.

As the booming implosion calmed down, I turned my head to see the dilapidated scene on Mount Olympus, laces of the purple energy floating through the air among it. The mountain was visibly thinner due to it's crumbling, the bridge leading to the Gateway of Olympus had crashed into the Abyss and the roof of the Pantheon had collapsed, leaving the pillars lonely and bare. Amidst the horrific ruins, the sun broke through the darkened clouds and shone it's arching, golden rays onto Hermes.

"Demeter and Apollo, tend to the Olympians trapped in Olympus." Zeus started, bending over to sit next to his fallen son. "The rest of you go down to Earth to fend off any still living creatures and help the mortals. I shall take care of Hermes." He paused for a moment and looked at Thor. "Thank you again, Thor of Asgard."

I looked at Hermes' still, ashen face with his golden curls ruffled from the debris and felt a tear escape my eye. I hadn't been particularly close to my uncle but he did care for me throughout my journey to my freedom and for that, I would be eternally careful.

"Selene," Artemis said, jolting me from my thoughts. "Check on your father, do not worry about the others."

"Okay," I nodded, my heart pounding terribly in chest at the excitement of seeing my father again.

"I shall come with you," Thor said, walking beside me and I started towards long bridge to the Portal of Hermes. "Perhaps I can try those amyglata-amgala-am-"

"Amygdalota," I finished for him with a laugh. "You're lucky, we made a fresh batch this morning and trust me, they're much nicer than Pop-Tarts."

"Well, in that case, I am looking forward to eat them." He said, smiling at me.
