Chapter 20

Olivia's POV

"About that..."

I looked over at Natalie confused as she handed me the leaflet. It had pictures of cabins and lodges, they looked so luxurious and traditional just like the restaurant we were in.

"We used to stay over a night or two but it's up to you"

"We haven't got any clothes" I stated.

"We don't need any" she winked.

I rolled my eyes at her comment as she laughed, "look, one beer won't do me any harm but if you change your mind let me know. Besides I already packed us a few clothes just in case and we can sleep in separate beds if it makes you feel any better" she said.

"I'll think about it" I smiled at her comeback.

The waitress arrived with our salads that made my mouth water at the well presented food, they must've taken a lot of time and patience to get it to look this good. I took a bite out of the chicken along with the lettuce and the taste exploded in my mouth, the quality was tantalising with the soft chargrilled tenderness of the chicken and the fresh crunch of the lettuce made my taste buds cry out for more.

After a while we had finally finished our salad now washing it down with the bottle of Budweiser as we continued to talk about random things. We decided to sit outside and I couldn't help but laugh at one of the embarrassing moments Natalie was telling me about.

"Me, Chris, Mel and a couple of other people from work decided to play truth or dare and we all dared each other to go skinny dipping. We downed our beers before we all stripped and jumped into the lake. Luckily it was dark so we could barely see anything, it was only the moonlight that gave us a bit of light, enough for us to see our faces."

"We all decided to see who could hold their breathe under water the longest, so obviously me being competitive, I was the last one to jump back up for air. Only to see that the others were getting out of the lake taking all the clothes with them. They literally shouted come get your stuff as they waved it around. They were literally teasing me as I got out of the lake before they ran for it, they managed to slip their underwear on. Next thing you know it were at the car park where there was a fireworks event going on. So I was running through this crowd freakin naked trying to get my clothes off the others"

I couldn't help but laugh at the sight of her running through public naked. "You are something Nat" I laughed.

"Hey! It was embarrassing!" I pouted.

"By the way, is that offer still on the table, because it would be nice to stay here for the night, it's so peaceful here" she asked.

"Of course it is, cmon, let's go book a room before they sell out she said downing the rest of her drink as I did the same.

We head towards reception as Natalie held my hand guiding me. I couldn't help but smile at her eagerness.

"Hey, can I book a room for two please" she asked the receptionist.

She looked up at Natalie immediately staring.

"S-sure, two desperate beds or are you two...together?" She asked.

"Two separate beds please"

"Oh right...Well I can give you the itinerary if you want whilst I wait for this to load"

"Oh no that's fine, I used to come here all the time" Natalie smiled.

"Ah well, that's a shame, I would've given you a private tour. I still can if you'd like" she grinned and winked at the girl.

Is this bitch for real?

"Actually, we'll take bed and I don't appreciate your attempt at flirting soon as we're clearly together." I snapped. "Also, I'd like a complimentary drink of your best wine for your lack of professionalism, or do I need to speak to your manager about this?"

"Uh...no miss...I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend you. I just assumed-"

"Yeah well don't assume next time" I said, annoyed. I couldn't help but feel jealous. I've had such an amazing day with Natalie for someone like her to ruin it. Sure we weren't together together but I still had feelings for her that were growing stronger by the second.

I stared at her in silence as she was nervously typing in the details that Natalie gave her for the booking.

"Here's your key, I've upgraded you to premium lodge. It's one of our private suites that we don't advertise and drinks are on the house, here's your premium guest card. Just show it to the guys at any of the facilities and take what you want worth up to $100 all-round. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience I caused and hope you enjoy your stay."

To be honest I was quite shocked but I guess I can be pretty intimidating when it comes to it. I stormed off not wanting to give in, I felt a little bad but I was too annoyed at her.

Natalie soon followed after me.

"What was that?" She laughed.

"Nothing, let's go" as I paced to the car.
