Tobias' POV

      I lean against the counter in the kitchen arms folded as I wait for Chloe to come downstairs. I make sure Alex is tucked away in the corner of my mind sleeping for the fifth time to assure that today is solely for Chloe and I.

     I was surprised last night when Chloe asked Alex if he could have a day alone with just me, but I'm very glad he did so. Since he doesn't have a wolf, I was worried that he wouldn't be as interested as getting to know me as he was Alex, though I'm very happy he's proving me wrong, not that I'll tell him that.

     My ears perk up as I hear Chloe'a light footsteps as he comes down the stairs, following his path from there to the entrance to the kitchen. It's hard to stop the growl in my throat at what I see but I'm able to manage.... barely.

     In all his glory, my little pup is standing before me in loose short shorts that showcase his long legs and I bet his perked ass amazingly. His abdomen is barely covered by a cropped hoodie and I'm ready to say to hell with my plans and fuck him bent over the counter. Just as I open my mouth to say so, I stop myself remembering the way his eyes were so hurt as he explained to Alex and I everything he went through as an Incubus.

     So I ignore the growing erection pushing against my jeans and motion for Chloe to come closer. His cheeks are red as he avoids my eyes walking over to stand in front of me about a foot away. Way too far.

     "Look at me." I tell him, my voice deeper than Alex's and I can tell he notices by the way his body shivers and he unknowingly takes a shuffled step closer to me.

     He raises his eyes to mine and I watch as his rosey cheeks grow darker and I smirk loving the reaction I get that Alex doesn't. This is purely for me, only me and damn if it doesn't turn me on.

     "Do I make you nervous, pup?" I ask him, my legs widening a bit to accommodate for my growing erection. I see his eyes flicker down and shoot back up and I have to hold in a chuckle.

     "Y-yes." He stutters out and my grin widens.

     I push myself off the counter and stand straight watching Chloe with amusement. "Why is that?" I ask him and all he does is stare at me whether in arousal or submission I'm not sure but I decide to give him a break and give him a genuine smile.

      Chloe's eyes turn hazy as he sloppily returns the grin and I can't help but laugh, his response to my smile making my ego stand about a hundred feet tall.

     "Come on, pup, you up for a little adventure?" I ask him and it takes a second for his eyes to clear but once they do he gives me a curious look.

     "Adventure? To where?" He asks and the excitement in his voice is cute as hell.

     "If I tell you that then all the fun is gone." I tell him shaking my head in mock disappointment. I start walking out of the kitchen and towards the back, as Chloe follows closely. I stop to open the back door, leaving it open for him to slip through as well.
