Chapter 4 (Adam's Point of View)

As I enter the bar, a girl came to me smiling. She wanted to hug me so I gave her a hug and she blushed and goes away. I chuckled and as I turned I saw Matt talking to a girl, he didn't noticed me. I then turns towards another counter where I saw a girl drinking alone. I make my way towards her and sit beside her. She was focused on her beer bottle so as I sit she turn to look up at me. Oh it's her, isn't it? That girl Matt told me about. Rylee right? God pictures don't do her justice, she so beautiful. I gave her a charming smile and she smiled back at me.
She has long hair and deep blue eyes. She is a beautiful, pretty and cute. She looked at my angel tattoo and kept staring at it. She seems to like it but I see sadness in her eyes. I pivot a little to give her a better view.
"Did you like it?" I ask.
She replied me, "yes" with angelic smile.
I stared at her like an idiot. She is so beautiful man. I just can't take my eyes of her.
"I am Adam, I am the drummer in the band." I say with a smile.
"Rylee, nice to meet you." she replied me with a smile.
I tried to make some conversation but Matt was right she gives me laconic answers. She is really bit like Colin. I didn't mind her lack of communication since I put up with Colin. She seems like lost in thoughts.
I asked her, "Why are you alone?"
" I am waiting for someone but apparently he really got busy." she said. I was about to ask her something when Matt suddenly appeared,"Are you flirting with my Princess?" he asks grinning.
"No, I was just trying to get to know her! Even if I flirt, you shouldn't have any problem. She is cute and hot." I say. Rylee chuckled at my reply. Her voice so beautiful and timid. "Matt is the pain in the ass." she says smiling. I nod grinning and Matt pretends to be offended.
I know but I still asked her,"How do you know each other?"
"From a race. Since then she sticks to me like a leech." Matt answers.
She hit Matt on the shoulder and say, "Asshole". I and Matt burst out laughing.
I turned to Matt asking him to come to backstage for help. Matt stood up when Rylee asks if she can help. What!! Of course not. She is a princess. I followed her gaze she is looking at a guy and a girl in turn. They seems to staring at us.
I turn my gaze to her and said to her amused by her offer,"It's not a work for girls."
Matt says,"She is a tiger. She can at least come to the backstage." I nod and we make our way to the backstage.
I and Matt goes to the van parked out side the back stage exit door.
As I enter again in the backstage, I see Rylee staring at the stage. As if she is nostalgic. She is as if thinking if she could she would go to the stage and play. I called her but she seems to not hear me. So I put a hand on her shoulder, snapping her out of her thoughts. She turns me and I smile.
"Is everything alright?" I asked. She answers me with a smile "Yes". It's a sad smile.
I then suddenly throw my drumsticks towards her which she catches in the mid-air and looked at me puzzled. God she has got some good reflex.
I gave her a charming smile and said,"It will bring me luck."
She raised an eyebrow and questions me,"If I hold your drumsticks, it will bring you luck?"
She is so cute when she is puzzled.
"Um.. Yeah. If a pretty woman holds it then it will for sure bring luck. And at least you can pretend by holding it close to yourself that you are trying to bring me luck. It will boast me up." I say smiling.
She burst out laughing and holds the drumsticks close to herself while saying," It will bring luck to you and you will be awesome."
I smiled and walk away to help Adam. She is sweet. I don't know why, I feel like that she will be perfect for Colin. I looked at Matt, feeling my gaze he looked up at me and raised an eyebrow while saying,"I knew I was handsome but I didn't knew that you also is interested in me." he laughed and I kick him in the shin. "Fuck off! No I was thinking, is she is a good match for Colin." I say pensive. "Yes she is. I am planning on playing a cupid between them. Are you going to help me?" he says.
"What about Doris? And you know Colin. He is never interested in woman like that other than having fun." I say worried. Colin has been through a lot.
"Rylee has been through a lot. Colin as well. They will understand each other. You want to help! Yes or no?" he asks.
"Yes, but how? And what happened with Rylee." I ask intrigued
"Not my story to tell but if you gain her trust and don't rush her then she might confide in you. She seems to like you. You will handle Doris, whenever she will throw a fit of jealousy seeing Colin and Rylee together. Okay?" he says.
I gulp, controlling Doris means controlling an uncontrollable creature, ah, beast would be perfect. I nod at Matt, unsure. "Don't worry I will help you."
"What about Colin, he is a pig head." I say.
"They need time." Matt says.
I nod and make my way towards inside carrying a box, Matt on my heel. As I enter I see Rylee sitting on one box humming a song. She has got a good voice, more like an angel. Plus point. Rylee didn't notice us. I give Matt a look and he nods. It means he knew. She really has a great voice, Matt is smiling beside me. Suddenly she notices us and stop. I am surprised.
"You sing so well, your voice is beautiful." I say smiling. She suddenly become nervous but thanked me. Matt sensing her sudden change goes beside her and put his arm around her shoulders. I ask her,"Do you play any instrument?" I need to know. "Yes, guitar and piano." she replied a little stiffly. I stared at her for some time and smile then walk away again. She really has something to hide. Matt seems to know her pretty well. Matt came out again to the van when we notice Colin arrived. He parked his car and came towards us. He says "Hey" with his usual caveman manner and go inside. I and Matt looked at each other and nod. I wish they can get along. Though I would love to be with her but I would love to take care of her as a friend.
"What if Colin screw up?" I asked.
"I am sure he will. But we are here." he says mockingly. I nod.
"Just one thing that we all should keep in our mind is that don't piss her off." Matt says.
"But I want Colin to do that only..." I give Matt a wicked smile.
"What!?" Matt asked confused.
"It will be easier to judge the Colin's effects on her." I grin.
Matt understood and nod. Then we took our last boxes and make our way inside and by the scenario inside we stood frozen. What the fuck!!
