Chapter 24

Naka upo lamang ako at si Sir Sky ang nag sasalita siya sa harap. Wala naman ako masiyadong part dito bukod sa ilipat ang slides ng presentation niya at i-abot ang ilang props.

"That's all, Ms. Torres. I hope you like my short presentation." Aniya nito. Kaming tatlo lamang dito sa room at wala masiyadong maingay bukod sa aircon at kay Sir Sky na nagsasalita kanina.

"I have no problems at all, I just need a talk with your secretary?"

"Oh that's fine, I'll excuse myself." Sagot ni Sir Sky at tinapik tapik ang balikat ko na parang sinasabi niyang 'You've got this!'. Tangina bat naman ako iniwan dito. Nakakatakot kaya pag mumukha ng ex ni Leo punong puno ng botox ang mukha at sobrang laki din ng bibig parang mangangain.

"So... You're Leo's girlfriend right?" Nakangiti nitong sabi saakin bago itinabi sa gilid iyong mga folders sa gilid niya. Nginitian ko lang din ito at tumango. Hindi ako yumuko gaya ng mga napapanood sa TV dahil ayokong isipin niya na ako yung tipo ng babae na mahina at hindi pumapatol.

"I didn't know he have such a bad taste." Tsaka ito tumawa ng malakas. Nawala na ang mata niya ng tumawa siya at ang bibig niya ay mas lalong lumaki. Tanginang yan. "Biro lang ha! No offense, love."

Nakitawa din ako bago sumagat. "Yeah, actually he used to. Kaya nga siya nakipag break sa'yo eh coz' he wants an improvement." Tumawa din ako pero slight lang. "Just kidding of course no offense Ms. Monika."

Nawala ang malakas niyang tawa at napalitan ito ng mahina at peke. "Hahaha palabiro ka talaga."

Who said I was kidding?

"But are you aware though?" Tumaas ang kilay ko sa sinabi niya.

"Of what Ms. Monika?"

"That the guy you're dating, George Leonardo Zapanta Vasquez, is the one and only famous for being the riches Business Tycoon of Asia, Europe, South America, Australia, and Africa at his young age?" Nangunot ang noo ko sa sinabi niya. "Of course I am highly aware of that."

"Edi dapat aware ka din that he's not the type of guy that'll settle for someone and will make the first move especially someone like you? I heard you came from the province. Did you use some magical witch craft on my honey boo?" Isa lang ang masasabi ko. Ang gaspang ng bibig niya at gusto kung sabunin iyon.

Kahit ano talagang plastic surgery ang gawin sa isang katulad niya ay hindi maitatago non ang itim ng budhi ng babaitang 'to.

"What? I'm right diba? You used a fucking witch craft on my honey boo kaya ka niya naging girlfriend." I laughed hysterically with her accusations.

"Sorry, sorry Ms. Monika, but you are so dumb that you do not even deserve a single word from me."

Nagpatuloy ako sa pag tawa habang paalis na sa opisina niya. Natigil ako sa tapat ng pintuan. "It’s the 21st century Ms. Monika. Just accept the fact that the guy you used to date disgust you now. There's nothing good about you, not your looks nor your attitude. You're ugly in and out." Pipihitin ko na sana ang door knob ng mag salita ito.

"Do you really think you can change Leo? He's a Dominant Business Tycoon, a Possessive Asshole, a Sex Addict Cheater, and other possible ways to describe him. What makes you think he'll settle for someone pathetic like you? When he can have all the girls he want. I am not saying this to ruin what you both have, but to give you a warning on what he is capable of." Pahabol pa nito nang lumabas ako.

I don’t believe every word that came out from her mouth. Paniniwalaan ko lang ito pag mismong si Leo na ang nag kumpirma ng sinabi niya.

“Wow! Akala ko kaylangan ko ng pumasok sa loob dahil anytime ay baka mag rambulan na kayo.” Napatingin ako sa gilid at nakitang si Sky ang nag salita.

I smirked. “Tss. I am not a damsel in distress Mr. Seran.” I walked out and leaving him all alone. The look on his face says it all, he planned this.

Hours had passed and I just stayed in my room doing some paper works and preparing Leo’s speech for tonight. I received no calls but 2 messages from him. Ngayon ngayon lang din. Kaka seen ko palang ng message niya.

Vi-niew ko ang photo na sinend niya and he looked sad and bored doon. May naka lagay din sa gilid na ‘Can I call you?’. I replied.

To (Boss)

:I miss you too. Pero nasa meeting ka you have to stay focus. Malapit naman ng matapos iyan. Don’t worry after the meeting you can call me na.

Nag sad react lamang ito sa reply ko. And a few moments ay nag post ito ng story sa Instagram. Boomerang ito habang hawak hawak niya ang manibela ng kotse.

Akala ko ba nasa meeting siya?

A few seconds later I received another message from him.

:Fuck meetings. What’s your room number? I want to see and cuddle with you.

Alam kong importante ang meeting na iyon and he’ll loose millions if he backed out pero parang wala lang sakaniya. Nakaramdam ba siya na namimiss ko din siya? Pero hindi naman ibig sabihin non ay dapat niyang i-risk ang meeting na ‘yon dahil lang sa namimiss ko siya. Napatingin nanaman ako sa cellphone ko ng maka receive ako ng panibagong notification dito.

:I love you! I’m here at the mall, what do you want for lunch? Pigar-pigar

O liempo?

Gusto ko ng magtatalon sa kilig. FUCK! HE REMEMBERS ALL THE SMALL DETAILS ABOUT ME. I guess it’s not really always about the expensive stuff but also remembering those precious small things.

After sending my message. I realized of how flirty my message was. Tangina, diko pa naman ma-unsent. At huli na din dahil na view na niya ito. Halos ayaw ko na ngang basahin ang ire-reply niya eh.

:I’ll be there in 15 minutes. Walang bawian ha?
