KACELY
Song: OTW - Khalid ft Ty Dollar & 6lack

When I arrive at the pool, there's barely anyone there. There are about six kids only and I notice a rather extra sized girl at the other angle who's on her phone. The pool is large and very dirty, there are algae stuck at the sides of the pool causing it to have a greenish colour.
It is so gross.

A short man walks in slowly and heads towards the pool, he has a small radio in his hand and he's whistling to the song that is playing. He pulls out a net and attaches it to the stick in his hand then starts removing the dirt from the water.

"At that pace he won't be done in three days." A voice says. I turn around and it's that albino guy from the Arts class; the one who was in the library the day I ran into Az here at RCC.

"He'll keep doing that till the P.E. session's over and then we'll go back home and the same thing applies for tomorrow... and the day after... and the day after... and the day after..."

"I get it man." I interrupt with a laugh and he smiles back.

"Usually I just bring some chlorine and put in the water after he's done... Which usually takes about three days."

"Does it usually clean the water?" I asks.

"Not really, but it makes it less gross." He chuckles and puts his hands in his pockets.
My face pales and I look at the pool again. That guy has practically succeeded in getting just five dry leaves out of the water.

"Does the principal know about this?"

"I don't know if he's even aware a pool exists in this school. Thing is everyone's into football or basketball, or tennis and volleyball for the girls. There are a few people over at the handball and gymnastic club and the losers whine up here." He explains.

"What do you mean the losers?" I ask

"Look around; all those here are either those who suck at sports or who are body shy like Amy over there," he says tilting his head in the direction of the fat girl at the corner. "Or people who just want to be alone."

"What group do you fall in?"

"The last two I guess," he smiles. "But I also like swimming. It's one of my hobbies."

Why would he be body shy? He has an OK body, he's skinny but ok.

"So no one actually takes this seriously?"

"Yup" he answers. "That's the swimming team for you" he smiles.

I don't like football... at all. Basketball's Okay, but I've never been interested enough to want to try out. Not before and certainly not now. Gymnastics, not my strong point. I could barely do a cat wheel as a child and I don't know a thing about tennis or volleyball, talk less of handball. But within the past two years, I've been swimming a lot and it's safe to say I'm pretty good at it. I now see why Az wished me good luck.

"I think we should complain to the principal." I suggest.

"Mukefor? He won't give a damn." He laughs.

"Have you ever tried to?"

"No."

"So we should..."

"We?" He laughs. "I won't be going anywhere man, I'm good." He says and sits on a chair.

"Come on, that's the first step to getting the team on."
