Song: Say you love me - Jessie Ware.

"What... What do you mean you're getting married?" I ask them

"I asked Shura to marry me and she said yes" Gramps smiles and takes her hand in his.

"When?" I scoff

"Just last night." Shura answers

"Why?"

"Why?" Gramps frowns

"Yes!"

"Because I love her and she loves me?"

"Gramps you said that about every single girlfriend or wife you brought home" I remind him

"Yes, but this is different"

"That's what you said about Ashley and you guys still got divorced! Less than a year ago!"

"Well, Shura isn't Ashley."

"Shura, are you sure you want to marry Gramps? To be with him for the rest of your life?" I ask her

"I am." She nods

I watch them for a while as they smile at each other before looking at me. They aren't serious.

"Look, I'm no marriage counselor alright... but I think you're just blown away for now and you might not feel like this in two years or three years. You've known eachother for what? Five months?!"

"It doesn't matter how long" Gramps says

"Hell yeah it does. Of course it does" I chuckle

"Baby, I thought you'd be happy for me"

"Why would I be happy?" I scoff "I've witnessed it happen thrice since Grammy died. What's the proof that it'll be different this time?"

"Haven't you noticed how different I am around her? It's not like any of them. We have a friendship, unlike the others."

That's a clear fact and the truth is that even though I don't want them to rush into the whole thing and hurt eachother, I'm also wondering about what will happen if Shura officially becomes his wife. He'll be all about her. Where will that leave me?

"Az... I know you don't like me very much but believe me when I say I love your grandfather with a very large part of my heart and I believe I'm ready to be with him forever."

"Why do you guys always find it so easy to say these type of things? Do you have any idea how long forever is? Forever is a long ass time but you talk about it like it's a week or something. It's the rest of your life and beyond!" I laugh "Why can't you just keep dating? Why do you want to tie yourself together with some stupid piece of paper infront of people who don't even give a shit about you?"

"What is the problem exactly?" Gramps asks me.

"I'm not ready for this... For the fourth step grandma who isn't even up to two times my age!"

"This isn't about you Azinwi. This is about me and my happiness." Gramps frowns and Shura tugs his hand, trying to calm him down.

"Sure it is, but do you know how that affects me as a person? To watch you hop from girl to girl? Putting on tuxedos and wedding rings while having the same witnesses at different marriage ceremonies back you up when you recite the same vows just like you did the last time only to end up hating eachother and hiring lawyers to call it off!"

"I already told you that this is different! Stop comparing it to the rest!" Gramps says and stands up.

"Donald" Shura whispers, holding his hand. I look at Gramps for a while and I feel a tear stream down my cheek.
