Damage Case

Meredith: We all go through life like bulls in a china shop. A chip here, a crack there. Doing damage to ourselves. To other people. The problem is trying to figure out how to control the damage we have done. Or that's been done to us.

Audrey: "What did you say to him?" she chuckles, standing in front of the mirror while brushing her teeth as Izzie and Meredith stand beside her

Meredith: "Nothing. I fled the scene."

Izzie: "You didn't tell him about George or Derek?"

Meredith: "No."

Izzie: "Hmm. You like him."

Meredith: "I could like him."

Audrey: "Is the sex any good?"

Meredith: "I don't know."

Audrey: "Four dates and two sleepovers at his place and no sex?"

Meredith: "Not even a kiss good night."

Izzie: "Oh, I am proud. I am like a proud mama."

Audrey: "I'm not. How am I supposed to live my slutty life vicariously through you if you go and get into a serious relationship. We did not discuss that."

Meredith: "Shut up." she nudges her with a chuckle and they turn to see Callie had entered the room in just her panties

Callie: "Morning."

Audrey: "Morning." she clears her throat a little as Callie goes over to use the toilet as the three exchange slightly awkward looks between them

Meredith: Sometimes the damage catches us by surprise.

Meredith: "Oh, my God. Did that just happen?" she asks once Callie leaves the room

Izzie: "I'm having a seizure. I am clearly mid-seizure. I'm seizing."

Meredith: "Oh, my God."

Izzie: "She didn't even wash her hands."

Meredith: "Oh, my God." she whispers as she and Izzie share a laugh and Audrey spits out the toothpaste in her mouth

Meredith: Sometimes we think we can fix the damage.

Izzie: "All I'm saying, George, is that if she needs to pee she could at least wear a bra. Or maybe wait until she's alone. And for the love of everything sanitary, could she just wash her hands? She's a surgeon."

George: "You said yourself you guys were blocking the sink. I think you're exaggerating."

Izzie: "She peed. Naked peeing. Ask Meredith and Audrey. Meredith?" the two come over to where the others are waiting at the ambulance bay "That's right, I forgot, you're not talking to her."

George: "Oh!"

Izzie: "If you were she would tell you that Callie crosses the line. So crossed the line. So freaking crossed." she rants and Cristina looks over at Audrey who just shakes her head at her

Alex: "Oh. Were still pretending that you're not seeing a patient, right?" he scoffs and Izzie glares at him while throwing her apple away

Cristina: "People, what's with all the evil misery? Huh? Live and let live."

George: "You're cheerful." he lightly touches her cheek

Cristina: "Oh, come on."

Audrey: "You are. What's wrong with you?"
