Percy's Perspective "Percy. What do you want for your birthday?" It took me a moment of thinking, but I couldn't really come up with anything. "I don't need a present or anything, don't worry." That, apparently, wasn't a satisfactory answer for him... "Don't worry!! I'll get you anything!!!" This was getting a bit awkward as I tried twisting my mind to find one thing I wanted. Wringing my brain out for answers didn't really help as it was a desolate land with no ideas to comfort him. "What if we go to the burger place where-" His eyes filled with tears as he began to sniffle. Okay, well I guess he's in 'insane mode'... "You don't have to worry - we can go to a movie or visit your family or whatever you want..?" 😅 I could tell I wasn't giving him the answer he wanted but I had no clue what I wanted for my birthday - I mean - I can just ask my parents to buy almost whatever, and Jackson himself was enough for me. Is it... not enough?
For the entire week, he continued pestering me about presents that I have no need for, but I could tell it was actually a serious issue that needed a solution. When I had told him I wanted a piece of jewelry, he immediately freaked out saying that's not what I want... I had to admit - he must know me well if he knew I didn't really want the ruby adorned bracelet.

Though... he still got it for me. 😅 I didn't exactly want it, but I still thought it was beautiful (if a little girly). So I'll make sure to treasure it for as long as possible.
While at first it was a bit endearing - this has now gotten out of hand... he stays up all night 'researching' for items, bugs me everyday, and is refusing to eat! Okay, this is actually insane!!
"Hey, umm... Obsidian?" "Yes. This is Percy, correct?" The squealing in the back of my mind was being covered up by the seriousness that I needed to present. I can't believe he remembered my name!!! "Well... it's about Jackson..."
