Chapter 20 : Here Comes The Owls

Hey guys, I have something to tell you. This chapter wouldn't be that too focusing one the boys exactly. They're still gonna appear but I primarily dedicated this chapter to the girls and would make the story some sense (I hope)

After losing another game to Kenma, Emika sighed and accepted her defeat. "Is something wrong?" Kenma asked. Emika shook her head and sighed again. "I'm just worried about the practice match I'm going to have at Friday, no biggie."

Kenma doesn't want to ask anymore questions anymore as he started another match.

"Kenma, do you and Emika-chan want any snacks?" Mrs. Kozume went went inside of his room.

"Oh, alright then." Kenma said softly.

Emika sat up and asked, "What's the occasion?" Mrs. Kozume smirked and crossed her arms. "Apple pie!" Kenma's eyes sparkled and ran outside of his room.

Both girls were giggling at him. Mrs. Kozume looked over to Emiko and smirked again. "Say, Emika-chan...do you have a boyfriend?" The question surprised her and it made her flinch. "N-no..." Emika mumbled and fiddled with her fingers. With that, Mrs. Kozume just smiled and walked to the kitchen with her son waiting for the apple pie.

The day has came, the day of the practice match of the girls. They have never played any out-of-games with Fukurodani before. They don't even know anything about the team and their skills, only know each other as rivals. But this day was different.

"It's going to be a difficult match!" Hoshiko whined to Himura.

Himura never know the Fukurodani girls' team, only knew that Akahana used to be part of it and they were strong as Wanaka girls. "Impressive vocabulary." Himura snickered and covered her face with her dark brown hair. "Hey! I'm not that dumb!" Hoshiko protested.

Hoshiko went on explaining how they got into the practice in the first place, it was a bit funny and immature for Kaneko to act like that. "Kaneko-chan is really something else." Hoshiko rested her head on Himura's shoulder and let out whimpering sounds.

"Why don't you be excited instead?" Himura said suddenly.

"Because, we only faced them once at the Interhigh last year and apparently the year before at the Spring Tournament." Hoshiko explained with a whiny tone.

Himura didn't know how to cheer her always peachy friend, but there was something that came to mind. "Just act like Tora." Hoshiko cocked her head towards her with an expression of utter shock. "You mean...intimidate the ace of their team?" That wasn't what she meant and she tried to be more explicit but Hoshiko blocked her voice out.

"That's not what I meant--" "Yeah! I'll be just like Tora!" Hoshiko punched the air and jumped around, causing the other students to look at her.

For the time being, the boys' team got the whole gym for themselves for the day and it was pretty normal.

"Sara!" Nekomata called to her.

Himura walked up to him, trying to avoid as much flying balls as she go, just to see in a gleeful state. When she got there and told her, "I want you later at the training camp to take notes about Karasuno and Fukurodani." Confused, Himura tilted her head slightly and scratched her head. "What I meant, we'll be sure playing against Fukurodani very soon, Karasuno could be coincidence at the nationals if we do get in. It could help the team, y'know."

After hearing that, Himura felt something on her shoulder. "Boo." It was Akahana and she just crept behind her, creepily. Himura was too fast to react to know it was, she smacked Akahana's face with her notebook.
