Juuyon- Local Garderner realises his cat loves him

"Okaa-san, are you going on a smoke break again? Did I do wrong?" The boy asked

"It's too stressful, not you but... I just need a small break alright? Can you let mommy have a smoke break please? Why don't you go buy some stuff? Here's the grocery list" His mother asked

"Sure!" He smiled.

Taking the list from his mother's hand, he gave her a big smile to which she returned with her own exhausted one that didn't reach her tired red eyes. He took some money with her permission and was even encouraged to buy more sweets. She knelt down to my level as he put on his shoes to give him his sunflower hat. He giggled and gave her a kiss on the cheek before running off to do groceries. It took a while to reach the supermarket but he started to buy the items listed and even a few sweets.

He wondered why he was buying milk if his mother told him that his father was getting milk. He hopes that his father bought lactose free milk because his mother can't have milk. He also hoped that it wasn't expired by now because he's been getting milk for a year. He scrunched his nose as he took the lactose free milk and getting the rest of the household items like detergent. He paid at the counter with the help of the assistant before they helped put most of the items in his backpack and the others in a paper bag.

The surprisingly tall 4 year old waved at them with a bright smile before leaving to head back home. On the way home, he saw a pretty cat running across the street. It was very skinny and had to be a stray. To the boy's shock, no one saw the truck running it over. Honestly, the boy thought the cat was going to get sent to Isekai land but he guessed that they needed to be hit and not run over. Well that's what he read from manga. The boy rushed over and picked it up before scurrying off the empty road.

Desperately, the cat was howling in pain for some relief as the boy brought him to the nearby park where he could put some bandaids on the cat which he had in his bag. The moment the boy turned away, the cat morphed its body to be large enough to consume the boy in one go until the boy turned around and it returned back to normal. The bright eyed boy picked up the cat and tried to look for where it was damaged but the cat was find. With a confused mumble, he looked away to put away the bandages in his bag.

What he didn't see was the cat feeding off the large amounts of cursed energy the boy had. He found suitable prey. However, he decided to follow the boy and help him live for now. He watched as the boy put a finger to his lips and told him that he had to be quiet if he wanted to stay with the boy. That was no issue and so he followed the boy home and began living with him, waiting for a suitable opportunity to torture and eat the boy so he got the most amount of cursed energy he could.

However, as time passed and the cat watched tragic event after tragic event happen to the boy, he couldn't help but feel guilty especially with how nice the boy was treating him. Even a despicable curse like him felt sad seeing most of the emotions in the boy fade away as he emotionally disconnected from society. The cat couldn't help but start to care for the boy and try to protect him when cursed spirits went after humans with a large amount of cursed energy even thought he was currently weak. He stayed at the boy's side to watch him grow up and in the end, he couldn't bring himself to devour the boy.

The boy just reminded him of kindness he longed for that used to feel familiar. He started staying in the boy's shadow while coming out to snuggle with him in the night. He watched the boy grow to be quite tall and everyone else feared him for his height and emotionless tone. He felt bad when a few more tragedies struck and swore to himself to protect the boy who loved plants and animals so much. The boy seemed so familiar to another but he couldn't think of who it was.

Oh the cat wished he could see the boy smile brightly again.

He missed it.

Age-Present Time

[M/N][L/N]

"Hey, its okay if you want to fatty bum. Hey, you took care of me a lot so I'm fine with it. I'm glad I'm benefiting someone in a way" I said softly

"Meow" My cat shook its head

"Uh, I guess you don't want to? Hm, alright. That's fine then" I said a bit confused.

My cat swiftly jumped back in my shadow with a purr while Sukuna watched with amusement. I turned to Sukuna as I noticed something about his domain, people could leave. He told me that he got a major boost if he did that when I asked nicely. Turns out the more you sacrifice, the more you get in return. I let out a small oh before looking around properly and thanking Sukuna for showing me. He demanded a garden of corpses in return as he appeared in front of me.

"What's up with you obsession over me making a garden of corpses? I'm still considering it though. I mean in a weird way, could work but I'll still deny it for now" I muttered

"That's quite a lot of progress" Sukuna smirked leaning up to me.

"Don't get your hopes up." I grumbled

Soon after, Itadori swapped in after Sukuna but before that I chilled and talked about the possibility of me making him a garden.  Sukuna flicked my head before leaving, telling me to keep getting better. I felt a bit confused when he kept calling me gardener. At least, it was surprisingly fun to talk to him and listen to him talk a bit about the past while I practiced my domain. He seemed so confident and proud of everything he did. Similar to Gojo in a way.

"Hey (M/N)?" Itadori asked

"Yeah?" I replied

"Can... you train with me? If I win, lets go play at the arcade game with everyone" Itadori looked up to me

"Everyone still thinks your dead. By the way, don't be surprised in Kugisaki beats you up. I approved of it because you made us all worry. I was going to throw some hands if you were actually dead." I stated

A/N: Double chapterr? Double yeahh in less than 24 hours. What's wrong with me? I hope you liked it, so far I'm enjoying the pace of the story. I'm trying to build the relationships so we can start to get uhum... steamy. Jk or am I? Anyways bye bye!

Ps. Someone that I know pointed out that Sukuna and (M/N) act like lovers sometimes and I'm down with that since I plan on making it complicated. I like to summarise the two right now though as people who get along but could change.
