Chapter 18

"Are you ready to go?" Eddie asks me.

"Yeah, let's go, " I say. 

Today we're going out with Chloe and her friends to a bar, I think. Frankie is driving us four there.

"Great, I can't wait to meet Chloe! You didn't even tell us what she looks like, " Eddie whispers as we quietly move towards the front door.

My parents went to sleep only 20 minutes ago, so I'm really hoping that they're asleep by now.

"Why would I tell you about that?" I look at him confuse as I close the door.

He doesn't answer me or even look at me anymore, he's gazing at something or someone behind me. 

I turn sharply to see Chloe looking at us with a small smile on her face. I let my gaze fall on her figure, she's wearing high waisted black jeans, a black mesh top with a lacy purple crop top thing, I don't know what it's called underneath, black biker boots and a faux leather coat.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Eddie, " he says while extending his hand toward her.

"Nice to meet you Eddie, are you boys ready to go?"

"Hell yeah, right Ian?" Eddie turns his attention back to me, but I still keep my eyes on Chloe.

Am I underdressed? I can't tell. I'm wearing a white graphic t-shirt with my leather jacket on top and blue denim jeans and black boots, so I hope what I'm wearing it's okay.

"You look beautiful, " I say, forgetting to answer Eddie.

"Thank you, likewise, " she says, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"And yeah, I'm ready, " I turn and say to Eddie that's looking at me like I've grown another head.

"Great, well I'll lead the way! Follow me lovebirds."

Mine and Chloe's eyes widen as we quickly throw a glance at one another before I cleared my throat and speed after Eddie.

I'm going to kill him when we come back.

"You can sit at the front with Frankie while I sit back with Eddie alright?" I say to Chloe while I grip Eddie's neck and open the back seat, pushing him in.

I open Chloe's door as well before I join Eddie in the backseat. I glare at him as Frankie introduces himself to Chloe before he starts driving.

Frankie and Chloe seem to be deep in conversation about something while my eyes gaze out the window.

Eddie grips my shoulder making me look at him wondering what he wants now, he motions me closer with his finger and once I do he leans in too.

"I can see why you like her, " he whispers in my ear.

"I don't like her we're just friends, " I whisper back in his ear.

I can't afford Chloe to hear things like this. He looks at me frowning.

"When did I say romantically?" He pulls back as I realize he meant as a friend.

I open my mouth to say something but thankfully Frankie yells that we're here, so I don't waste a single second and rush out of the car.

"Hey, Ian!" Eddie calls out to me. 

"I'm sorry what, " I say as I open Chloe's door.

"This isn't over, " he warns me.

"What isn't over? What did I miss?" Frankie switches his gaze between us.

"I'll tell you later, let's go inside for now, " Eddie says, pulling Frankie with him.
