~ Epilogue ~

In the Blue Typhoon, everyone surrounding the lifeless Y/N who's in Shadow's arms as he had fly off to get her in deep sorrow, their hearts broken. Tears fell from their eyes. Some cries uncontrollably in a way that could break their heart. Shadow closes his eyes in sadness as he held her close. Some tried to stay strong like Knuckles, but a few tears were shed until he began to sob and hid his face with one of his gloved hand. Amy tried to comfort Cream and Cheese as she placed an arm around them for comfort, knowing it won't help with their sadness as everyone else. She can't stop crying too as tears fell.

Vector and Charmy cries out water fountains while Espio looks away, clenching his fist as tears fell. Rouge sniffs as she tries to get the tears to stop falling as they mess up her makeup. Chris hands her the tissue as he's also crying, not believing that his best friend is gone. Sonic who's crying uncontrollably is hugging Tails who can't stop crying either.

Y/N and Cosmo are in a white light.

"Y/N, thank you."

"I did what I have to. At least, we're together."

"We had fun, didn't we?"

She recalls the party they had.

"For some reason, the only thing I can remember is everyone's smiling faces."

"Cosmo..."

"But I'm afraid, we can't be together."

"What?"

"Y/N, your brother, and your friends need you."

"But... We're here now. I can't leave you."

Cosmo places a hand on her cheek.

"I want you to be happy and have a life you deserve. We'll meet again one day. There's someone else who loves you more than anything and want you back."

Y/N sniffs and hugs her.

"I'll never forget you, Cosmo. I'll miss you."

Cosmo hugs back and pulls away.

"Y/N..."

She spins around a few times...

"I love you. I'll miss you, too."

...before vanishing.

Shadow still held her body when a voice called in his head.

"Shadow."

His eyes widen in recognization and look around. The spirit of Cosmo appears before him.

"You can save Y/N."

He stayed silent as if asking her how.

"There's a power of life from the rose from my planet. The only way to do it is true loves kiss. It will bring her back to life."

Cosmo held out a beautiful red rose as they sparkle up.

"I have been keeping this close to me to one day use it to save someone I love dearly. You deserve to use it. I know how much you love her more than anything in the world. I want her to be happy."

Shadow silently takes the rose from her.

"Thanks... Cosmo..."

Cosmo smiles and waves him goodbye before disappearing. Shadow stares at the rose in his hand and places it where Y/N's chest is and slowly leans down. He stops for a bit and whispers something that no one could hear before he kisses her. Sonic who's still crying notices Shadow kiss Y/N, and surprisingly, he doesn't care as he thought Shadow kiss her goodbye when a light shines him and everyone else. They stopped crying and noticed a rose that was on Y/N's chest began to glow and petals fall out and spins around her beautifully as she started to float. Everyone looks on in awe and confusion on what's happening to her. Then, something happens. Something around her neck is restoring something as all the petals fly towards her chest and began to combine together.
