Sonic races up to the top of a skyscraper as a massive cleanup effort is underway. Various debris is removed by front loaders as three people attempt to right a car. Sonic jumps down from the building and runs through the city. Y/N rocket skated over the top building as she looked around for any sign of people until she stopped to hear the sound of the whimper. The noise is coming from within one of the wrecked buildings.

At Chris' school, a large helicopter has landed in the yard, where Mr. Stewart and his students are. Mr. Stewart shield his face from the spinning rotors' wind.
"Okay, class, ready to carry the rescue supplies to the cafeteria?" Mr. Stewart asked.
"Yeah!"
The helicopter's door opens, revealing Nelson Thorndyke.
"Chris!"
Chris run over.
"Dad! What are you doing here?"
"I thought I'd drop in and see how you were doing." Nelson winked.
"...I'm fine."
Soon, the kids are packing and stacking boxes. Frances wipes her brow. Other people are present.
"These boxes are heavy. ... Hoo, I need to take a break."
"That's okay. Why don't you go play and let me and Chris finish the unloading?" Danny said.
Frances is not impressed. Just as she was about to say something, Hikaru walks over and helped her carry the heavy box.
"How about you and I carry it together? I know you still want to help." he said and chuckled. "Or you can carry as much as Danny if that's what you're thinking."
Frances blushed.
"That would be nice. Thank you, Hikaru."
"Anytime."
"Our son and our dog are lost."
Chris, Danny, Hikaru, and Frances turn to see a mother and father talking with a police officer.
"Did the search parties find them?"
"No, ma'am." Police Officer shook his head.
The mother begins crying until Sonic arrives holding a small boy.
"This your kid?"
Second later, Y/N arrives holding a beagle."
"Is this your dog?"
"Mom!" the boy cried out as the dog barks.
The mother scoops up the child up and hugs him as the dog got off of Y/N and joined in the hug as the father carried him.
"Jim! You're safe!"
"Sonic, Y/N, thanks a lot."
"You two are wonderful."
"You're welcome." Y/N smiled, blushing.
Sonic makes an "It was nothing" gesture as Chris and his friends smile.

The Thorndykes are ready to leave. Danny, Frances, Helen, Amy, Tails, and Cream stand by. Chris hugs his mother goodbye.
"I'll miss you, darling."
"Me too, Mom."
"This is it... Goodbye..."
