In Cream's room, Cream's diary lays open on a desk.
"Cream's voyage diary: On August 21, the Metarex have attacked Blue Typhoon for 12 hours. It's a strange and cruel attack."
Now, Cream is on the bridge, having detected three Metarex craft in the distance.
"Metarex spaceships 35 degrees to the right! Three are approaching!"
"Course 135 yellow. Speed 1.3 sols." Amy informed.
"Distance: 25,000 space kilometers. 26,000... 27,000... 28,000... 30,000... Metarex went to the green area." Chris spoke.
"I told you they're afraid of us!" Knuckles said who's sitting next to Y/N.
"I'm not sure... But like before, we don't know when they'll attack. Stay with Master Emerald, Knuckles!" Tails said.
"I don't want to. If we're always running away, it doesn't matter where I am."
"He's right. We've been in this situation for 5 hours. Not sure what those Metarex's goal are..." Y/N said.
Cheese is asleep in Sonic's lap.
"Hey, Tails. Why don't you try steerin' the ship on a different course now?" Sonic proposed.
"I guess I can. But where exactly do you want me to go, Sonic?"
"Wherever. It doesn't matter. It's just weve been going in this direction since the Metarex began chasing us twelve hours ago, and I've been wondering why they haven't fired a shot at us."
"Are you suggesting that the Metarex tricked us into going this way?" Cosmo asked.
"Is it a trap, Sonic?" Tails asked.
Sonic just give him thumb up and a wink.
"Why don't we find out?"
Tails then turns determined.
"Okay! And while we're at it, we can test out how accurate their tracking sensors are. Let's push our speed to the max! Chris, increase auxiliary engines to maximum power!"
"Roger. Increasing power now."
"Turn to Mark 3.1!"
"Are you sure this is a good idea? They're turning too!" Amy worriedly asked.
"It's a laser blast. The Metarex are firing at us." Chris informed.
"All shields up!" Cream said.
An energy beam strikes the Typhoon, but its shields prevent any damage.
"Guess they don't want us going this way." Knuckles said.
"Change course to Mark 0.8! Maintain speed!" Tails ordered.
The Typhoon turns ten degrees to the left.
"But there are three ships approaching at Mark 370, and they're coming at us full speed!" Amy spoke.
Three small round Metarex spaceships approach the Typhoon.
"Quick! Target those ships now!"
"You got it!"
Chris types on his keypad.
"Amy! Load six missiles and prepare to fire on my command!" Tails said.
"Target set." Chris said.
"Missiles are loaded." Amy said.
"Fire!"
Several missiles are launched, destroying all three ships in the distance.
