~ Chapter 49 ~

Back in Mobius, it is daytime, and the Grand Egg Imperial is flying over a city. Eggman laughs into a microphone.

"Attention! I have an important announcement that I'm sure you'll hate. Your favorite fiend has returned! Your king of calamity, the awesome Dr. Eggman! I am delighted to inform you that this planet will soon be under my power! It is pointless to try and resist me! Surrender immediately, or you will all be destroyed!"

Eggman's warning sends the animals into a panic. Bocoe is reading a book, and Decoe and Bokkun are playing chess.

"If Sonic and Y/N are back in this world, we would have seen them by now." Decoe said.

"We're wastin' our time! They must have decided they liked that other planet better!" Bokkun whined.

"I'm positive Sonic and Y/N followed me here. They would never let their arch enemy get away." Eggman said.

Bocoe turns the page.

"I am not sure, Doctor. Perhaps Sonic and Y/N got bored fighting with you."

"Working with him is even worse." Decoe added.

"Let's just get this over with!" Bokkun shouted.

"Now hear this!!"

Eggman turns up the volume, and his voice blasts through the city.

"This is your last warning! Submit to my rule or I'll wipe up this whole world! You hear that, Sonic and Y/N? Sonic! Y/N!"

That night in Cream's house, Amy is visiting Cream and Vanilla. Vanilla pours tea for Amy. Amy sips the tea.

"Ah, just the way I like it."

"We're really happy you stopped by to visit us, Amy." Cream said.

"Chao chao!" Cheese nodded.

"So have you thought about that offer we made the other day? Would you like to come live here?" Vanilla asked.

Amy closes her eyes in happiness.

"Thanks for the invitation, but I... can't accept."

Cream is surprised.

"We want you to stay here with us! We really care about you!"

"Please, Cream..." Vanilla said.

"I know. ... I'm really glad I have a friend like you. But you don;t have to worry about me. It's been lonely without Sonic around, but... I know... he'll come back... Even Y/N..."

"I'm back, and badder than ever!" Eggman voiced over.

Amy becomes startled, then angry. The Grand Egg Imperial is flying nearby.

"I've come to publicize my dastardly designs for building the Eggman Empire! I'm all set to spread misery and mayhem around the globe! You'd better quit your foot-dragging and race to the rescue, Sonic and Y/N! Otherwise, this world will have to face the music!"

A disco ball lowers, and Eggman starts dancing.

"Hah!"

"How embarrassing." Bocoe commented.

"What dance is that?" Bokkun questioned.

"I think it is called the 'jerk'."

Suddenly the ship shakes from a sudden impact, knocking everyone over.

"What was that?" Bocoe asked.

"I think something hit us!" Decoe said.

It is revealed that Amy's Piko Piko Hammer is embedded in the hull of the ship.
