Chapter 68: Fight The Power

Tsubaki's pov

We all stood shocked hearing what 22 just proclaimed, I seriously can't believe it. I stared at him, wondering why he never said anything to him before about this. Jean looked incredibly shocked, it was as if he didn't know that 22 was in love with his sister this whole time. "What the hell are you talking about, Holden?" Jean said, his voice faltering as he looked to 22 who didn't answer him. 22 just stared at him, the look in his eyes was unreadable and I couldn't get a feel for how 22 was feeling. "You remember when we all worked on that giant project for Wyatt?" He asked, Jean gave him a slight nod. "Everything started from there... Because your sister and I were working on the same part of the project different from you and Kiyomi, we became close... You could say that I started to have feelings for her... Which grew bigger each day I was around her. Eventually, both of us came to a realization that we had feelings for each other. And without you finding out, we started dating." 22 explained as Jean stood there, just staring at the ground. The look in his eyes indicated that he was having trouble believing this whole thing, he clenched his fists and I could already feel the anger radiating off his body. He suddenly let out a chuckle, which confused everyone who was still standing.

"What are laughing about?" I questioned, raising an eyebrow at Jean. He stopped laughing, raising his eyes to look up at us. The minute my eyes and his met, I knew something was about to happen. "22 get-" I was cut off as Jean muttered something, the area around us suddenly started to shake and a flash of bright white light shone, blinding everyone. I made a move, grabbing onto Tien and Yamcha keeping a tight grip on both of them. I heard shouts come from all around, I was blown back off of my feet and hit the building nearby. Tien and Yamcha both hit each other, as they landed through the wall I had gone through. The ground underneath me shook heavily while the building started to collapse all around, I acted quickly shielding the two unconscious men as the building came down on top of us.

Meanwhile...

Krillen looked behind him, seeing a flash of light which also got everyone else's attention. Kid Tsubaki and Kid Trunks looked at each other, both fearing the worst since they couldn't feel their father's ki. "Krillen?" Kid Trunks called, looking over at him. "They're still alive right? Why can't we feel their ki, Krillen? Are they--" Goten started, "Don't think like that, Goten. They're fine. Your Dads' are the two most resilient people I know. As well as Gohan and your sister, Goten. They'll be fine. We should really get out of here now, if we want Saya to be safe." Krillen said, his eyes shifting from Goten to Saya. She was currently being held in Krillen's arms, clinging to him as she kept her face buried in his shirt. She hated heights, always hated them. "Krillen's right. Dad, Gohan, Vegeta and Future Trunks and Tsu are fighters. They won't go down so easily. We should get going." Kid Tsubaki said, giving her brother a look of confidence. "Right." Goten nodded, feeling a bit better. The four of them flew off, but just as they reached the outskirts of town, Goten felt Jean's presence closing in on them and fast. Goten tried to call out a warning, but he was suddenly grabbed from behind. Kid Tsubaki, who was flying ahead of Goten suddenly noticed the lack of her younger brother's presence behind her. She stopped flying, looking behind her and immediately became enraged at the sight behind her. 

"Tsubaki, why'd you stop-" Kid Trunks stopped flying, which got Krillen to finally turn around. 

"Give me my brother back!" Kid Tsubaki snapped, glaring harshly at Jean. He was holding Goten in a chokehold, the young saiyan struggling to get out of his hold. It was like Goten's saiyan strength was failing him, which is something that Kid Tsubaki picked up on. "I said give my little brother back!" Kid Tsubaki demanded, making Jean shake his head and chuckle lightly as he smirked. "I'll make you a deal... Give me Saya and I'll give you this little tyke back." He said, Kid Tsubaki only shook her head. "No way is that happening." Kid Trunks shook his head, "You heard her. Let him go." Krillen said, glaring at Jean. "Not until you give me the little girl." Since the three of them refused to do what he said, Jean grew angry and tightened his hold on Goten. He then threw a large blast towards the three, Kid Trunks and Krillen managing to get away while Kid Tsubaki took the attack head on. "Tsubaki!!!" Goten called out, watching as his sister was sent flying into the water below them. Goten grew angry and wriggled around, thinking about the only thing he could do to get free.
