                                       Dave

After the other things have been quiet, Ryan didn't seem mad she just didn't have much to say. Kairi was upstairs in the bed with Ry watching tv, it was Saturday so they've been in the bed all morning. Ryan was online shopping, and Kai was just under her. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and it was Ry, she came over and sat in my lap. I wrapped my arm around her, "wassup mama."
"Nothing really Kai fell asleep on me, what are you doing down here?" she asked laying her head on my shoulder. "I was down here rollin' a blunt." I said pointing towards the ash tray. She nodded and kissed the side of my face, "Well I'll let you get back to what you were doing." she said standing up only for me to pull her right back down. "You don't have to leave." I said looking at her. She nodded with her phone in her hand, "Are you mad at me or sum?" I asked looking at her. "No, why would I be mad?" she asked looking at me with her eyebrow raised. "From a few days ago." I said sparking up the blunt. "No I'm not upset, was I mad? A little. But I couldn't hold on to it cause it was the past. We're past that." she said with a smile. I nodded and deep down I was happy that this wasn't something that ruined us again. "How was Kairi's day at school?" I asked curiously. "She said it was good, she wanted to pack her lunch tomorrow so I told her we could do that." she said rambling about Kai. I sat back and listened to her go on and on about how spoiled our daughter is. I chuckled cause she's really complaining about something that's technically our fault, "what's funny?" she asked with an eyebrow raised. "You, you do know it's our fault that she's spoiled like that."  I said laughing at this point.

I really sat back and thought, and Dave was right, it was our fault that Kairi was spoiled like this. But at the same time she wasn't one of those kids who bragged about what she had. I made sure to instill those traits in her, I wanted her to know that not everybody has what she does. Not every kid gets to have both parents in their household, or that every kid doesn't have a trust fund set up for them for when they're adults. I didn't want her to feel like she was better than anybody cause in the matter of seconds she could lose it all. "Mommy?" I heard Kai call from upstairs. I quickly got up off Dave and met her upstairs, I carried her to the bathroom. She brushed her teeth and washed her face, I took the rubber bands out of her hair. I grabbed the brush and started brushing out her hair, once I finished I quickly put her hair in a messy bun. We headed down the stairs and she headed straight for the kitchen, she grabbed some applesauce from out of the refrigerator and sat down at the table. Dave stood to his feet, and headed up the stairs. "Bae?" He called out. "Huh?"
"I'm going to the office real quick, Monica said something was going on." He said. I simply nodded but didn't say anything. I was starting to get bored , lately it's just been the three of us and don't get me wrong I love spending time with my family but I wish I had more friends. It had been awhile since Brooke and I hung out so I sent her a text to see if she was available for lunch. Shortly after I sent the text she called me, "Hey stranger." she said into the phone. I laughed, "Hey girl." I stood to my feet and walked around the island while talking on the phone. Once we hung up, I had to get ready for the day, we were gonna meet up for lunch. I was gonna bring Kairi with me since Dave had to go take care of business, I carried her up the stairs and headed to her room. I got her dressed, and laid her baby hairs since I already brushed her hair into a bun. Once she was ready I told her to watch tv until I was ready so she sat in her room while I headed to my room. I went straight to my closet while Dave was in the shower, I went through my clothes and decided on my outfit. I laid it out on the bed, I peeked my head in the bathroom. "Babe? About how long are you gonna be in here?" I asked him. He stuck his head out, "Come join me." he said with this goofy grin. I chuckled, "cute. but our daughter is in her room waiting for me." I said closing the door. I waited for him to come out and about 15 minutes later he came out with a towel wrapped around his waist. I hurried to the bathroom and started the shower, I stripped out of my clothes and stepped in. I made sure to exfoliate and cleanse my face, once I washed up I rinsed off and stepped out. I wrapped the towel around me and headed back to the room, I dried off put on my underclothes, I sat on the edge of the bed and put on lotion. I slipped on my outfit and stood in the mirror, I examined how I looked and made sure I liked what I saw. I remember it was a point in time when I wanted to get my body done, I actually had went to a few doctors. But after really thinking about it I realized I didn't wanna be the typical woman. no hate to those who do go get surgery but I would rather work out to lose my baby weight. I sat in front of my vanity and got started on my hair, I decided on this half up half down style. Something simple yet cute, once I was completely ready I headed to Kairi's room and she was laid in the bed watching tv. "Kai come on baby." I said to her. She got up and slipped on her shoes and followed behind me. Dave was downstairs fixing at his tie, I walked over towards him and helped. "You look beautiful." He said as I finished with his shirt. "Thank you." I said pecking his lips, "Kairi and I are gonna meet Brooke for lunch, I'll see you later?" I asked wiping off the lip gloss that I had got on him. "Yes mama, I'll text you when I'm on the way home. I love you." he said kissing the side of my face. "I love you too." I said as he scooped Kairi up in his arms and kissed her cheek. "I love you too baby girl." he said with a smile. He sat her back on her feet and we all headed out locking the doors behind us. I strapped Kai in her seat and got in the car, I made sure my mirrors were adjusted and I backed out of the driveway. I shot Brooke a quick text letting her know that I was on the way. Kairi sat in the backseat quietly while looking out the window, the ride was short so once I parked. I got out with Kai following behind me, when we walked inside the restaurant we saw Brooke sitting at the booth with CJ with her. We sat across from them and we instantly sparked up a conversation. We talked about how life's been treating us the last few months, it honestly felt good to reconnect with someone I practically grew up with. We spent the last few hours or so just talking about life and she informed me that she was still dating the guy she told me about the last time we talked. I was genuinely happy for her cause she deserved it after the last year she's had. Once I realized that it was getting late, we wrapped up the conversation and said our goodbyes. We stood to our feet and went our separate ways, I had to carry Kairi's heavy ass out to the car since she was now asleep. I'm not the biggest person so I struggled a bit trying to carry a child who's almost the same size as me. Once I made to the car, I saw a pair of hands open my door. I held Kairi as I turned around, I saw it was just Clarence. Queen's boyfriend, it had been years since I've seen him. "Hey I saw you struggling with baby girl, I didn't mean to scare you." he said holding his hands up in defense. "No.. you're fine. Thank you." I said sitting her in her seat and strapping her in. "How's Queen and the kids?" I said closing the door. "They're good, how's my bro?" he asked. "He's good, he's at the office right now." he nodded. "But it was nice seeing you tell Queen I said hey." I said now opening my door. He walked away as I got inside the car, I locked the doors before I started the car. My phone started ringing and I saw that it was Dave, "Hello?" I said into the phone. "Hey shorty, where y'all at?"
"On the way home, why?" I asked heading home. "I was just wondering, you still you know? Bleeding?" I laughed cause this man was truly crazy. "No David, I'm not." I said focusing on the road. "Good, cause I'm at the crib waiting on you." I laughed. "I hear you." I said driving. Once I pulled into the driveway, I called Dave and told him to come get Kairi out of the car. He came out shortly after in some sweats, he got her out the car and brought her inside and laid her in her bed upstairs. I closed and locked the door behind me, I took off my shoes and headed up the stairs. I headed straight to the bathroom to take another shower, I stripped out of my clothes and got in.

Once I laid Kai down and made sure she was comfortable I headed to the room, I saw Ry was in the shower. I laid across the bed and waited for her to get out, right when I was about to doze off I heard the door open. I looked over and saw that she was out and she had on a sports bra and some shorts. I sat up as she places her rings on the nightstand, once she was about to walk away I pulled her down on me. I wrapped my arms around her waist, she rested her arms on my shoulders. "How was your lunch with Brooke?" I asked pecking her on the lips. "It was good, how was work?" she asked. "It was cool, Monica had a few interviews lined up so I had to accommodate her with that." I said. She nodded with a smirk on her face, I palmed her ass and gave it a light squeeze. I felt myself growing hard, and it was like I couldn't control it. I stood up with her in my arms, she held onto me as I kissed on her neck. I tugged at her shorts but she grabbed my hand, "Do you have a condom?" she asked looking at me. Was she serious? I sat her down on her feet and went over to the nightstand, I opened it and luckily there was a condom. I pulled it out and showed it to her. She nodded and pulled me on top of her, our lips connected as she tugged on my sweats. I pulled her shorts off and stood to my feet, I pulled her to the edge of the bed and got on my knees. I wrapped my arms around her legs and went down....
