a/n: I know it's our instinct to believe Kol, but Originals make mistakes too...there is nuance here...also - Bonnie is trying her best <3
Last TVD chapter for six chapters

On A Different Note;
9 chapters left...
On May 22, it's the year anniversary of Rebel Just For Kicks

Would people like it if I posted all the remaining chapters of Part Five in celebration?

I'd then take a week off before P6 to breathe,
And to give people time to read lol
But it feels like a nice thank you for the support the past year <3

Tyler, Jeremy, and Matt were clearing up the breakfast mess when Liv arrived. She'd knocked, heard a muffled yell telling her to come it, then walked into the boy's den.

The house was still the Lockwood Mansion.

It was still filled with white brick and natural light, and a lot of the rooms were untouched, but the main ones were pure 'boy.'

Jeremy had made a deal. He'd help Liv if Tyler and Matt could help him help her.

She'd been reluctant, Luke had been even more dubious, but when Damon had almost killed her, she'd agreed. Either the three of them helped keep Elena safe, or Liv tried to kill her, so it was a tense situation for everyone.

"The Travellers are here, and our goal is to get rid of them," She put it simply, "But before I put my faith in the three stooges."

Liv wasn't particularly impressed by them yet.

"I need to make sure that none of you are harbouring a passenger."

Matt had brought the knife with him, placing it on the table in the living room.

"So," He clarified, "You want us to stab ourselves?"

"This knife is the only thing that will get rid of them."

"Again, you want us to stab ourselves?"

Jeremy gave him a look, "Just do it so we can get on with this."

"Says the hunter with the Traveller-proof head."

Tyler shrugged, "I'll do it."

"And the hybrid, who heals."

"Dude, you have a magic ring that brings you back from the dead," Tyler pulled a face at him before walking a little too close to Liv, "Quit bitching."

He picked up the knife and stabbed himself, looking her in the eye as the blade went in and out, grunting slightly at the moment of pain.

Liv held the eye contact, trying not to laugh.

He handed it back to her, letting the healing factor do its thing while Liv wiped the blood off and approached Matt.

"Shoulder," She placed the blade above the skin, "Shouldn't hurt too much. Not too deep."

Her tone was a mix of genuine sympathy and taunting.

"I can help if you – "

Matt pressed it into his shoulder himself while Jer and Ty smirked at the reaction.

"So much testosterone," She mocked, "So few brain cells."

"Okay. So we're all in the clear," Jeremy summed up, "Want to tell us exactly what we're doing here?"

"Easy," She smiled, "You just have to do that about a hundred more times – to other people."

They all pulled a face.
