Soonhoon 2

"...You took me to a Tavern?"

"Why not? It's fun!"

"You do know that I can't drink alcohol?"

"....I didn't get informed"

Soonyoung heard that his favorite bard was going to perform at that tavern that night and he wanted to bring the person he was wooing to the said tavern to drink with him.

The problem is, he didn't know that he can't drink alcohol. It was only the beginning of their little date, Soonyoung has already lost some points for not knowing that.

They sat down on the chairs in front of the counter. "Junhui! I'll have my usual cider please!" Soonyoung ordered to his friend who is also the tavern keeper.

Junhui placed down a cup infront of him and poured the cider on it. "You're pretty happy today, what's with you?" He asked.

Soonyoung only smiled, he tilted his head a little towards his partner's direction. "Jihoon finally agreed to come with me here"

"He can't drink alcohol th-"

"He doesn't know that" Jihoon interrupted their conversation. "Anyways, I'll have a ginger ale"

Junhui nodded and made him a ginger ale.

Soonyoung looked at Jihoon with full anxiousness in his face, "Do you.. hate me for that, though?" He asked.

Jihoon shook his head as an answer. He sighed, grabbing the cup which was now filled with ginger ale. "It's not that I hate you, I just didn't tell you that I can't before we came here"

"I just wanted to surprise you.. I could've asked someone else first"

Jihoon flicked the taller one's forehead, "Cheer up, if we're here to have fun, then we'll have fun"

Soonyoung nodded, he took a sip of his cider silently and looked away.

The two were silent for a bit, they didn't know what to say for the past couple of minutes until Soonyoung's favorite bard started to play songs for them.

Soonyoung, as always were bopping to the music. He even started to sing along as the music plays.

"The bard is good" Jihoon suddenly stated, his hands were tapping the table in a rhythm.

"I know, he gets all the drunkards to sing along" Soonyoung stated. As soon as he said that, some other people in the tavern have started to sing along. Heck, even Junhui who was just chilling in the corner was jamming to the music.

"I've never heard of this song before?"

Soonyoung smiled, "That bard doesn't come here empty handed, he always comes to this tavern and plays a new song everytime. No two songs are alike when he plays"

"I see.. The song is quite catchy so I can see why alot of people likes him"

The bard finally ended the song. He ran towards Soonyoung's direction and sat down on the empty chair beside him. "Junhui, a cider please" The bard requested, in which the tavern keeper obliged.

Soonyoung turned towards his direction, "Hey, It's been awhile" He said at the bard.

"Ah, Soonyoung.. I know, I haven't been around, huh?" The bard chuckled as he drank his own cider. As he drank his cider, he couldn't help but notice someone beside Soonyoung. "Oh, yeah.. Are you on a date right now? I'm so sorry"

Jihoon shook his head, "Don't mind me, you two can t- Hey, wait.. I know you" He suddenly interrupted his own sentence. He felt like he has seen the said bard before but he couldn't put his finger on it.

The bard also realized who he was too, "Ah! You're that.. Thank you for fixing my partner's dagger" He bowed at Jihoon as a sign of gratitude.

"No, don't thank me. Although, I did have a hard time fixing it, I usually repair musical instruments and not a dagger.."

Soonyoung was confused as to how Jihoon and the bard knew each other. "You know each other?" He asked, genuinely curious.

The bard nodded, "It's a long story, but I'm taking care of a big load currently" He explained before chugging down the cup.

"Big load? What do you mean?"

"A prince" The bard answered. "He's just right over th-" He was about to point at the direction of the prince he was talking about but he saw the said prince getting in trouble. "Shit, I'm sorry.. I'll go play you two a song later, I need to save a prince"

Jihoon couldn't help but chuckle a little after the bard left. "If you're curious, that's a real prince he's saving.."

"He acts like a knight in shining armor but he's just a bandit bard in ragged clothes"

"You're witty" Jihoon smiled before drinking his drink.

Soonyoung was happy he made Jihoon smile atleast once in this date they have. That was one point in his imaginary love tally.

"Anyways, I'm just curious, if you don't want to answer then forget it"

"Oh, what is it?"

"If you were in that bard's shoes, would you risk your life saving a random prince you fell in love with?" Jihoon uncharacteristically asked. "Actually, forget it, that was a stupid questio-"

"I will.. Even if he wasn't a prince, I'll still risk my life for him. Destiny brought us together, so why deny destiny? I'd rather die than lose him forever" Soonyoung looked at Jihoon with a fond smile on his face.

Jihoon was surprised by his answer but he knew he was right even though he wanted to protest. He only smiled and looked down at his empty cup.

Soonyoung leaned in towards Jihoon, his face just inches away from the smaller's, "Why did you ask?"

"Don't get closer, I know you have a habit of kissing people when you're drunk" Jihoon pushed his face away.

"Hey! I may have that habit but my lips aren't that cheap" Soonyoung huffed. He didn't have the thought of kissing him at first but now that he thinks about it, the thought of kissing him suddenly flooded his mind

"Says you.. You were thinking of kissing me just now, didn't you?"

Soonyoung's face flushed red, "N-No.. Why would I? I don't.. Want to kiss you"

"Well, I was gonna ask if you want to but nevermind"

"Wh- Okay, you're teasing me"

"Just kiss~" The bard suddenly popped up in front of them again and played his lyre and said that in a sing-song tune. The two looked at him in both confusion and offense. The bard bowed, "I'm sorry, I won't disturb you anymore.." He then walked away.

Jihoon and Soonyoung looked back at each other once again and bursted into a fit of giggles.
