Chapter Thirty-Six

Drake answered his phone as it rang for the third time. He groaned when he saw It was his dad.

"Hey dad" he said

"Hey my foot. How's the progress?"

"Fantastic. I know where the vault is. I know the code, diamond's ours"

"That's good. Prove that you're my son"

"Of course dad. I'll be back tomorrow and get you out" he hung up as he heard a knock. "Come in" he half yelled and Kaitlyn entered

"Hey Drake" she said with a smile

"What's up, Doll?" He asked

"Not too good"

"What's wrong? Are you alright?"

"I'm so sorry for been rude to you for the past few days. Actually I've seen how much you really cared for me and I'm really grateful for that" lies, lies. They keep mounting up. It had been two days since the get together was held. Drake woke up and saw himself on the floor in the rooftop and Kaitlyn just told him he got drunk as an explanation. He asked if he said anything Inappropriate and she denied

"None that I can think of" she said with a shrug and smile. He brushed the matter afterwards and concentrated on the Diamond vault.

"It's okay, doll" he said as she now apologized "you know I love you" she grimaced as a flashback of the get together flashed in her mind where he said he liked her but loved her money more and she gave him a sickly sweet smile.

"I know" she hugged him "there's going to be a party tonight to welcome Kaitlyn Hernandez"

"I was wondering why that didn't happen since" he said and she laughed "cause I know you love parties" she dragged his jacket and placed a mini coat cam which he didn't notice as he was too busy staring at her lips. She smiled as she had achieved her goal unnoticed.

She had heard him talking about the code to the vault when he had stepped into the garden to speak to his father at night. Unknown to him, Kaitlyn had already gotten an idea of his antics and followed him outside

"How did you get this?" She asked when Alfred gave her the coat cam"

"There's this company that sells one of the best technological devices. Can you guess it? Well you're dumb so never mind I'll say it. It's called Lè Diamanté" she rolled her eyes.

"So what am I supposed to do with it?"

"It's called a coat cam what do you think?" Rafael stood and interrupted him

"You're supposed to attach it to Drake's jacket or shirt tomorrow. We'll be able to see whatever he does and where he goes"

"Just make sure you go unnoticed. He doesn't need a clue that we know what he's doing" Justin warned.

"We can have a nice time once the party's over" she whispered and winked.

"Can't wait" he replied with a smile as she hugged him tighter.

"Bye" and with that she left and headed for the elevator to the third floor where the rest were there with Katherine, waiting for her. She had sent Jayden away to Nico's house for the night again.

"Did you do it?" Rafael asked

"Yeah" she replied "I also heard him saying he's leaving tomorrow"

"Then he's definitely taking the diamonds today" Justin concluded

"Okay then" Katherine said followed by a sigh "it's now or never" Kaitlyn smiled and looked at Troy who had a tensed look

"Are you okay?" She asked
