"You can't do this to me!" you exclaimed, enraged at your parents. Your fists were clenched, causing your nails to dig deeper and deeper into your skin. Breathing heavily through your nose, your heart thumped rapidly at the news you had just received.

Your father heaved a sigh, pinching his nose. "Look" he stated firmly, "we're doing this for you, you'll live a good life with him and you can get a lot of money out of this."

You shook your head, sending your father a glare. "This'll only benefit the fuck out of you. You don't even give me an option to say no" you spat. Then, you eyed your mother, who had the same viewpoint as your father. "I thought you'd be better, I thought you'd be on my side."

Your mother frowned, conflicted on what to do but seeing the deal as a way to support your family in a larger way, especially in a financial way, she couldn't refuse. "Honey, this is good for us...for you" she spoke lowly.

"See? Your mother agrees, so should you" your father stated blankly.

You breathed in heavily. "You're making- no...you're forcing me to marry someone I don't even know!" you shouted in an aggravated tone.

"They're the Ackermans (Y/N). You've met them before when you were younger" your father answered.

Your breath hitched...the Ackermans? There was only one son of the Ackermans and it was Levi, Levi Ackerman. He's a very well-known guy in your school, and one you've loved for so long, and you had to marry him? Under any other different circumstance, it would be a dream come true, but being forced into a marriage with him when he had no say nor knew who you were? It was entirely unfair to him, no less to his girlfriend.

However, the more you thought about it, the direr the situation became. For as long as you've been born, your life has always been dictated by the hands of your parents. And to have them strip away your freedom by marrying Levi? What option did you have left? You were completely under their roof, and barely at the age to get a job yet.

Leaving you with no other choice, you sighed, gritting your teeth, holding back your tears before muttering, "fine, I'll do it."

Your father was very much pleased, and as for your mother, she gave you a look of pity, but you could never quite forgive her, seeing as she had always sided with your father in everything he did. And in the end, you were sent off to marry the man you loved, yet he never loved you.

What a pitiful way to start your life.

-----

Two years have passed, indicating the approach of your graduation. And once you did, along with Levi, you both had to get married for the benefit of the two families. Levi resisted at first, not wanting to do such a thing when he already has a partner, but when his own girlfriend insisted that you both should continue the relationship until the deal was completed- since the wedding was only forced, he accepted.

On the day of the wedding, families, friends, and businessmen attended the ceremony. They watched as you held sad eyes, standing in front of Levi with his slicked-back hair and monotone stare. His expression was what you hated to see the most, especially when you knew he hated being here more than anything.

As the priest made you say your vows, he marked the marriage between the two of you, asking you both to share a kiss as husband and wife.

Levi held you, glaring at you as he leaned towards you, closing his eyes. You took a glance at your parents, shedding a tear as you returned your gaze back at your husband. The both of you shared a kiss, yet no passion was there as your tears trailed down your skin. Pulling away, his expression was still the same as ever and you knew, you knew that from this day onwards, it marked the days of your miserable life.
