Loki realizes that the eldest version of him was right. All versions of Loki are broken, and they will never change. He realizes that when seeing the vengeance and bloodthirsty look flash across Sylvie's face upon seeing the man who calls himself He Who Remains.

"You can kill Thanos," the orange clock's voice echoes in Loki and Sylvie's minds. "And you can be with the woman you love."

Sylvie was almost in tears as she listened to Miss Minutes say, "And you, Missy. How would you like to wake up tomorrow with only a lifetime of happy memories? And with a woman who will love you for all eternity?"

"It's fiction," was all she can say. As tempting as the offer is, Sylvie knew that none of it will be real.

He did his best to try calming Sylvie down, but he knew himself better than that. He knew that once he has his goal, he is hellbent on accomplishing his task. So, here he was, battling with his friend to stop her from murdering this strange man who can unleash chaos upon them all. Loki's movements were graceful and pulled while Sylvie's were aggressive with an intent to kill. Loki did not want to hurt her.

Then, of course, comes the part where Loki's will never change. Sylvie betrays him. She used the TemPad of He Who Remains to transport Loki back to the TVA.

And it was over. There was nothing Loki can do to stop Sylvie.

He searches for Mobius, and to his utter dismay, Mobius does not know who he is. Loki is unsure if Mobius forgot about him, or if he is in a different TVA, but either way... he lost Mobius. He lost Mobius and Sylvie in the span of a few minutes.

Loki watches the monitor, seeing the number of branches forming. Branch after branch after branch formed on the Sacred Timeline. All Nexus events overlapping one another and going beyond the red line. There was nothing they can do now, resetting any of them would be impossible at this point. Nexus events don't matter anymore.

Loki sits alone when a sudden idea sinks into his mind.

Nexus events don't matter anymore.

His chest tightens and he immediately shot up on his feet to run through the corridors of the TVA. He searched for the current flow of Time, looking for the present day of the timeline. Loki found a spare TemPad on an office table. Then, he searches for the name.

Loki furrows his brows upon seeing where she is located, but he shrugs it off. It doesn't matter now. He lifts the device and punches in the coordinates and timeline.

He stares at the numbers and hesitates. Does she even want to see him again? Is she still grieving him?

The God of Mischief shakes off the thought and presses the button, conjuring up a doorway in front of him. With a determined stance, he walks through the doorway.
