Seven treasure chests were laid in front of me. All were unlocked but the lids were closed.

They probably opened it kanina to make sure na may laman ang mga ito. And also to find the ring which is actually real, for they have found it on one of the smaller chests. It was actually the first thing they searched when the chests were brought to the ship, according to Halcon.

After making sure that there's no treasures left inside the Salvio shipwreck, Halcon gave the go signal for us to go back.

I didn't look at it. I don't have the courage to.

But I know that the time will come and I can no longer avoid it. I have to take it.

My knees are folded near my chest while Halcon sat with his right knee folded up and his right arm resting on it.

In front of us is the vast sea who almost took my life and also brought me to this world. I don't know if I should fear or be grateful for it.

The night sky is so clear that the stars are visible. It didn't help that much because it lacked the lenses that the modern telescopes has but at least it made the view closer a little bit.

“Look, there's Orion!” Using my index finger, I pointed at the constellation while holding the spyglass.

“That's my favorite constellation. How about you? What star do you love among them.” I looked at him.

He just shrugged his broad shoulders, looking uninterested.

“Wala siya riyan.”

“What do you mean?” I looked back at the sky, the stars are all visible naman na.

“Oh! It's the Polaris right?” I guessed pointing at the brightest star. The north star or Polaris guides sailors to know their direction, so yeah, maybe it's the Polaris.

“Hindi,” tipid niyang ani.

I pouted.

“Avyanna.”

“What?”

He said it so naturally.
