Chapter 21: Lucy?!

Natsu's POV

I went to find Lucy but I can't find her anywhere. I went to her classroom to check if she's there.

"Natsu-san, what brings you here?" Juvia asked

"Is Lucy here?" I said while catching my breath because I ran from the field

"Ah, Lucy didn't go to school today. She said that she will go to the airport with her father. Those are only the words that she left to me. Juvia don't know why but Juvia is thinking that Lucy will go back to America today.

"What?" I was shock on that information that Juvia said. Is this the thing that Gray said to me earlier?

"Juvia is also surprised when she texted me this morning. Everyone is sad because she didn't even say anything to us. Juvia just hope that Lucy will not go." Juvia said and I left her classroom

I returned back to my classroom.

"What's with the gloomy face Mr. Nerdy?" Loke asked approaching me on my table

"Nothing." This is the only word I said

"Maybe he's missing someone?" Ren said walking towards us with the other guys

"And who is that?" Loke said "Oh! It's Lucy-san right?" Loke added

"We heard that you are not meeting anymore with Ms. Heartfillia this past month. Is it true?" Eve said

"Yeah." I said and look at them

"So it's true. Did Lucy do something to you?" Sherry asked

"No, I was the one who distance to her." Why am I even saying these things to them? What's wrong with me? It's like I can't think clearly first before I speak

"You did what? Hahahaha you're pitiful Natsu." Loke said and I'm popping veins in my head right now this guy is really annoying

"Hey stop bothering Natsu will you Loke!" Cana said as she enter the scene

"Cana?" I said and he looked at me

"Tch. Let's go guys, Cana is here. I don't want to get punch my beautiful face." Loke said and return back to their seats

"I guess you know already huh?" Cana spoke to me again for the first time

"Y-yeah. Is she really going?"

"I don't know. She didn't tell us anything. She just sent a message to us that she won't be around today because she will go to the airport. But she said that she's not going back, yesterday."

"Is that so....um Cana about what happened last time. I think I really deserve that punch. Gray told me everything that you guys knew about our bet. I'm really sorry." I said apologizing and bowing my head on her.

My eyes widen when she lift up my head. "I am not the one who should receive that apologizes. You know who I mean." She said and smile at me

"Are you not mad at me anymore?" I asked

"Where good. Good." She offers her fist to me and I just bump it with mine.

It's weekend so I take a walk at the park to change the atmosphere. I always lock myself at my room this past month.

I have my usual hairstyle, that is spiky and one side of my bangs is up. I wore jeans and t-shirt inside my red jacket.

As I walk around, I saw a bunch of guys crowding in a circle. Looks like there's a fight happening.

I approach them and I saw a familiar blonde hair among those thugs. She is the one who is fighting those thugs alone. She beat about 4 of them just now and the other was looked scared at her. She piles up the 4 thugs that she just beat on fighting and sits on them. Yes, she, she is Lucy! I approach her.

"L-Lucy?!" I said

"Huh?!" she sounded like a real thug. What happened to her? How can she change this much by just a month? And didn't she return back to America.

She looked like a delinquent and badass. She wears a tank top and a letter jacket. She wears black jeans and black boots. Her usual hairstyle in not on ribbon today but a skull bone shape.

I can't believe this. Is this girl really Lucy?

"Who are you bastard?" What she didn't know me? Did she seriously forget about me?

"I'm Natsu." I said to her

"How did you know my name huh buddy? Are you one of the guys that I beat before? I'm sorry but I don't remember a losers name." this is completely different Lucy

"What are you saying? What happened to you?" I asked

"Te me you're annoying. I don't know what you're talking about." She stands up and confronts me. Then the thugs earlier with her run after that.

"You don't look familiar. Did we meet before?" she said examining my face

"Yeah!" that was the only thing I said

"Is that so? Sorry buddy you're mistaken me to that person you know." Why is she keeps calling me buddy? She said that and walks away and waves her hand goodbye. "ja na.."

That was a weird encounter with her again. Is this the effect of that bet? I shouldn't have done that.

I call Gray on my phone.

"[Hey Gray I've seen Lucy at the park just now.]" I said

"[So what did you tell her?]"

"[She's completely different. I didn't get a chance to apologize.]"

"[What do you mean different?]"

[She's a thug Gray! A thug!]"

"[Thug? Who Lucy? Hahahahahahaha you're out of your mind.]"

"[You don't believe me?]"

"[No! I just receive the news that Lucy went to the airport yesterday. But we don't know if she returns back to America or not. I just saw her the other day. Nothing changes about her except for her smile that you take away.]"

"[Yeah, yeah, I got it now but Gray that's not the point. She changes a lot! She doesn't even know my name!]"

"[You're just hallucinating Natsu! I'm on a date with Juvia so bye.]"

"[Wait-Gray!]"

Agrh. He hangs up. I return my phone from my pocket and just went home. I don't know what's happening on everything anymore. Maybe I completely lost my mind.
