Chapter 30: The Book

"What are you doing here?"

"Gray! Juvia! Get down! Get down!" Ashley said and drags down the two.

Lucy and Natsu let go of each other when they heard someone screamed "What was that?" Natsu said looking around

"Ah! Thank you dear! This is really beautiful!" a woman said

"Just some couples exchanging gifts huh." Lucy said

"Hey, what are you saying to Gray-sama?!" Juvia whisper yelled to Ashley

"Shhhh... Just shut up and come with me." Ashley said and they crawl out their way out of the Rose Garden.

"What is this about huh?" Gray said

"What are you guys doing there? You're ruining the moment." Ashley said

"Juvia and Gray-sama are always there. What's the problem with that?" Juvia said

"Your timing is the problem. I didn't get to see the end of it."

"Huh?"

"Well you see I plan for the nerd and Lucy to reconcile. It didn't turn out as planned but it was better than I imagined." Ashley said

"Reconcile huh? So how did it turn out?" Gray said

"It's okay now. I think they already fix up everything."

Natsu's POV

"I'm sorry Lucy, I know what I've done was stupid. Please forgive me." I said and bow my head to her

"It's okay that you know that it was a stupid bet."

"So, are things okay with us now? Can we be friends again?" I'm really afraid on what she is going to say

"Sure, I really waited for this day to happen, even though you ask me that bet you never leave my mind Senpai. I'm still your friend." Lucy said cheerfully as ever. I'm glad that everything will be turn back to the way it is before

I look at the book at my hand. "This book..."

"Ah that. That's the book that I wrote, I finished it before my father returned back to America. I also gave Levy-chan a copy of that." She said and we walk outside the Rose Garden

"Did you publish it yet?"

"No. I don't intend to publish it. I made this for my mom. I asked Papa to bring the original to her grave. I'm sure she is will be happy because I've created a book for her. And it's all thanks to you Senpai." She said and smile at me

The time I went home, I read the book on my study table for 30 minutes.

"Why did she write this story like a child fairy tale?"

The title is the same as the title in children's fairy tale, the content and the context.

I read the book again for the second time and I found out the hidden message in this book. You won't see it in first reading but if you look at it carefully and understand it with all your heart, you can crack the true meaning of the book.

And I did see its meaning. The book is about me but this message is not for me, but for her mother.

Levy's POV

I can finally read the book of Lu-chan. She gave me a copy earlier; she said that I can keep it. I'm so happy because she fulfills her promise to me. I read her book during break earlier once, but it's a children's story. I don't really get it why did Lu-chan write such story. It's a childs story but it's in novel format and it has 1500 pages with 108 chapters.

I mean it's good but it seems to have a deeper meaning in this story.

I re-read it when I return home. I still don't get what's her true purpose of writing it this way.

"Wendy, do you want to read Lu-chan's book?" I asked Wendy at her room, she is just fixing her things for tomorrow

"Sure." She said and takes the book

"After you read it tell me what you can say about it okay?"

"Okay."

After a moment, she finished reading the entire book. Then she went to her study table because I'm brushing her hair while she's reading.

She started to scribble some words in her notebook.

"What are you doing?" I said

"There's a hidden message on this book."

"Just what I thought."

"I really can't put them together but here are some details that I've found." Wendy showed me her notebook

"You're brilliant Wendy! Okay I'll do the rest." I said and took that page of her notebook.

"Lucy-san is genius to write such story with deeper meanings. If you read it at first you will thought that it is just some kind off childrens story but when you read it between the lines you will see the brilliance of this piece of work. She should publish this book." Wendy said

"I already asked her that question but she said that she didn't want to publish it."

"Why not?"

"I don't know the reason, she didn't tell me."

"Lu-chan!" I shouted down the hall and hug her in the neck

"Oh Levy-chan good morning!"

"You're genius! I'm sure you will be a great writer someday." I said and give her thumbs up

"Ah so you read the book. Did you like it?"

"What are you talking about I love it!"

"hehehehe I'm glad someone loves my first work. But it's childish right?" she said while walking we are now heading to our classroom

"Yeah but I've cracked it!" I said and winked at her and enter my classroom

"Cracked what?"

"Your message."

"Eh?! You're amazing Levy-chan but its embarrassing."

"What are you talking about? You are the one who is amazing and what are you embarrassed about. It's a message for your mother right? I know she will love this story."

"Do you really think so?"

"Yeah!"
