#BD31 — Flashbacks

"Hoy!" Pa-sigaw na tawag ko kay Mitch na hanggang ngayon ay pilit na kinakalikot iyong telepono ko. "Give me back my phone, Mitch Sanchez!"

Kanina pa niya kasi gustong basahin iyong conversation namin ni Drake after ng operation ko last time! Nagsisisi na nga ako na kwinento ko sa kanya ang tungkol doon, e. Wala na naman tuloy siyang balak tigilan ako lalo na pag nagising na si Gabbi, pagtutulungan na naman nila ako.

"Wait lang! Ito na, shit! Drake-" Naputol ang sasabihin niya ng tumunog ang telepono ko at notification sound lang naman iyon kaya hindi ko na pinansin. "An email from the Herrera Company."

Hinablot ko kaagad ang telepono ko kay Mitch nang mapagtantong galing iyon kay Kelsey. I gave Mitch a death glare dahil kanina pa niya ako inaasar dito, siguro raw ay nagseselos na iyon si Kelsey dahil sa birthday post ni Koby kagabi na katabi ko si Drake! Hinayupak nga naman talaga. I didn't even have a choice last night! Tinulak na lang nila ako bigla sa tabi ni Drake noong kukuha na kami ng litrato sama-sama.

Subject: A meeting request from Ms. Kelsey Faye Herrera

Dear Dra. Celestine Anastasia Lim,

I hope this e-mail finds you well. As Ms. Herrera's secretary, I am writing to request a meeting with you as per her request. The meeting details will be sent after your confirmation for her request, Dra. Lim. However, the meeting date will be set based on your preferred date according to Ms. Herrera.

Ms. Herrera is hoping that you are available to meet with her as soon as possible. Please let me know when and what time works best for you. Thank you!

"Meeting?" Tanong ni Audrey na kanina pa pala sinisilip iyong binabasa ko sa phone.

"Addie naman, e!" Suway ko sa kanya nang mabigla ako sa biglaan niyang pagsasalita.

"Kelsey wants to have a meeting with you? For what?" Audrey asked while offering me a glass of water.

I sighed. "I don't even know. We met last night, actually, hindi ko naman alam na naroon siya," pagpapaliwanag ko. "She went to the hospital to invite me for a coffee. Importante raw, e."

"Oh!" Audrey's face lightened up, as if she remembered something interesting. "It must be something related to her broken engagement with Kuya," she said.

Kumunot ang noo ko dahil sa sinabi niya. "Alam mo?"

"Duh?" She rolled her eyes. "Of course I know. He's still my brother kaya! You never asked about it so why would I make kwento, right?" Nagkibit-balikat siya bago niya ako talikuran.

I replied to Kelsey's meeting request before we board the plane. It is unprofessional to leave her secretary's email in my inbox dahil lang ex-fiancé siya ng almost ex ko. Audrey will be the pilot on board for this flight at si Koby naman ang co-pilot niya. This is actually a private airplane kaya kami-kami lang din ang narito pati iyong ibang kaibigan ni Koby na sasama sa amin sa Boracay for his birthday celebration.

"Good afternoon passengers. This is your captain speaking. First I'd like to welcome everyone to Beechcraft King Air 350i. We are currently cruising at an altitude of 33,000 feet at an airspeed of 400 miles per hour. The time is 1:25 pm. The weather looks good and with the tailwind on our side, we are expecting to land in Aklan approximately fifteen minutes ahead of schedule. The weather in Aklan is clear and sunny, with a high of 28 degrees for this afternoon. If the weather cooperates we should get a great view of the island as we descend. The cabin crew will be coming around in about twenty minutes to offer you a light snack and beverage, and the inflight movie will begin shortly after that. I'll talk to you again before we reach our destination. Until then, sit back, relax and enjoy the rest of the flight," Audrey announced as the pilot of this flight.
