Sano Manjiro gave him his new name "Kenji", meaning "wise/peace/healing", upon naming Tokyo Manji Gang, in hopes that with Kenji present in years to come the gang will have and achieve those qualities.
Toman shall use wisdom from experiences for achieving the new era, bringing peace and healing to the corrupt delinquent word.
