A/N uuuuuuuhhhhh draft for supervillain dadnoblade before I decided writing small child tommy was more fun. also bench trio and drista are here
also, everything is slowly getting better but I have a lot of school stuff happening in the next month so wish me luck

Tommy wasn't stupid. He knew of his adoptive father's "secret" job. He knew about it since even before the man officially adopted him. It's not like he actually tried to hide it. He wouldn't be able to hide it if he tried, Tommy was just naturally good at finding out secrets. After all, it is apart of the kids power. Transparency. The ability to see through any lies and being able to lie so naturally it might as well be the truth. It had it's faults but for the most part was very useful. He knew who he could trust and if someone was going to stab him in the back. He was loyal to anyone that was loyal to him.

Thus why he honestly didn't care that his dad had his "hobby". He never held any bad intentions towards him (actually he never held anything but adoration towards his son but don't tell him Tommy knows). He wouldn't hurt Tommy or let anything bad happen. He was one of the first people Tommy actually trusted and believed. So the kid clung onto him. From the moment he met him to even now, ten years later, his dad has never ever told any lie that would hurt him in any way. So Tommy never felt the need to use his powers on his dad anymore.

"I'm going shopping today, text me anything you want because I will not remember that. Have a good day at school and work and dont talk to the heroes."

"I know dad. Bye." He opened the door and stepped out.

"Toms." He looked at him and hummed. "I love you." Not a lie. Tommy smiled and nodded.

"Love you too dad." His dad drove out of the school parking lot leaving Tommy to his personal hell. But hey! At least Ranboo was here.... actually. That doesn't make it any better. Tommy pulled his backpack onto both shoulders and walked towards the entrance where the tall bastard was waiting. Where they always waited. Just for Tommy. Even if it meant they were both late. Ranboo was strange like that. It was a good strange though. Tommy met Ranboo when they were seven? Eight? Whatever. He didn't trust Ranboo at first (five years) because for some reason they were the one person that Tommy never saw through.

Eventually Tommy found out it was because Ranboo just doesn't lie. Whether that be because they're incapable of lying or just really bad at it. They also had abandonment issues which was good because Tommy also has abandonment issues. As soon as Ranboo broke through his walls of trust issues the two clung to each other. And no matter how much Tommy will joke about hating them, he doesn't, Ranboo is another one of the few people he actually trusts. But that still doesn't change the fact that he honestly just doesn't feel like talking to people that day. That sadly includes his best friend.

"Hey Tommy! Did you finish writing the notes for out history presentation?" Oh. He forgot about that. "Really dude? That was the only thing you had to do. It's alright, we'll just go off of what he remember."

"So nothing?"

"Exactly. Let's go." Another weird thing about Ranboo, they're always excited about something. Tommy hasn't figured out what it is yet but he will. They walked into the school and to their lockers. "We have lunch before history let's just write notes then." Tommy nodded and pulled out some textbooks. Ranboo opened a notebook and read through it. "We have math first class then you have robotics and I have art then lunch. That right?" Tommy nodded and grabbed the notebook. He wrote something down and closed it. Another thing, Ranboo has memory issues so they rely on a notebook to remember stuff. Tommy is the only other person allowed to write in it.

Math went about as well as you'd expect. Neither of them liked it and it was far too early in the morning. The teacher seemed to share the same sentiment which was good. The class felt longer than usual though which was bad. But then they had their separate classes. Ranboo had to teleport across campus to his class while Tommy walked to his least favorite class. Don't get him wrong, he likes robotics and coding. He was actually pretty decent at it and had a B in that class. No, what made it his least favorite class was the people in it.
