Yerim's POV

I knock on the door. No answer. I ring the doorbell, and I hear it loud and clear from the inside. Still, no response.

I ask Hyunjin, who's peeking in from a window, if there is any movement. She shakes her head as a no.

We were standing at the front door of Yeojin's house, trying to find clues as of where she could of been taken to. Unfortunately for us, when we arrived here, there was no sign of anyone being in the house.

"None of the lights are on..." Haseul notices next to me, and a few voice their agreement.

And by we, I meant us triplets and the rest of our friend group.

"Is the door locked?" KimLip asks from behind. I hover over the door handle to open it, but when I twist, it doesn't budge.

"It's locked.." I say and I hear a sigh.

"Can't we just break down the door?" Yves asks and I turn my head to her.

"That's illegal!" I exclaim, but she quickly claps back.

"You're the one with a fake identity."

The lion the witch and the audacity of this b-

Hyeju hits Yves for me. Thank you.

"This is why we didn't tell you about us." She mumbles under her breath and I suppress a smile.

My urge to smile is quickly replaced with a frown when I remember the reason why I was standing here in the first place. I need clues so I can find Yeojin, and those clues included questioning her parents, who are absent. For parents they sure don't seem to care about their child's whereabouts.

Unless they got taken away too.

"Shit... so there's no way to get in?" Heejin sighs and gets slapped on the head by Haseul for cursing. This action is followed by protests from both Heejin and Hyunjin, saying something about how we're all adults anyway. I don't really know, I'm not focused on that.

I just need to find a way in...

I let out a loud gasp and everyone turns their head at me.

"The window!"

"The... what?" KimLip frowns in confusion.

"Okay so basically, during the fight earlier this week, I told Yeojin to leave her bedroom window open so that I could sneak in and we'd make a quick escape.. Since I never came, I assume that she didn't touch her window, meaning that it's still unlocked and we can get in from there!" I explain and start making my way to the backyard. Before I could take two steps, I feel a pressure on my shoulder. Turns out it's Hyeju's hand.

"Yeojin's room is upstairs." She states and I raise an eyebrow.

"Yeah I know where it is, you don't have to-"

"These people can't climb, Yerim."

I look back at the rest of the group, pursing my lips. They definitely cannot climb. But I had another solution.

"I can literally just unlock the front door."

Hyeju's hand that was on my shoulder quickly moves to cover her mouth instead.

"Holy shit I didn't thing about that part, my bad." She quickly apologizes and I let out a chuckle. It's not every day that you see her mess up, even less when it's about obvious things.

Before leaving again, I take a good look at our team of helpers, and I couldn't help but tear up a little. Where they lack in skill, they compensate with determination to find Yeojin. I'm thankful for having them in my life.
