I clutched the flashlight that Seunghun had given me, searching for him. It was finally the next morning, just before a hike, meaning that he was definitely going to start hunting me down.
"Here." I finally found him, holding out the flashlight. Byounggon was standing oddly close to him, but who was I to say anything?
He took the flashlight from me, opening his mouth to speak before I heard Hyunsuk's voice. "Have you seen Jinyoung?"
I turned around. "I thought he was with you?"
"I thought he was with you. He left the cabin yesterday during the night, and I haven't seen him since." Hyunsuk turned towards Seunghun and Byounggon, tilting his head. "Um, hey."
"Oh, right. Kim Seunghun, Lee Byounggon, Yoon Hyunsuk." I quickly introduced them to each other, noticing that Seojun was announcing something that I barely listened to. Once we were in motion, I finished my thought. "He probably has his own stuff to take care of. As do I."
"Hm?" Of course that's the one thing that Hyunsuk focused on. Why was he always so curious?
"I have..." Why am I even telling him? "I'm a sad one. Whatever. Where is he?"
"Wait, who are you guys looking for again?" Seunghun asked, leaning forwards a bit.
"Bae Jinyoung. Know him?"
Seunghun looked at Byounggon, shrugging. "Not really. I've seen him around once or twice, probably."
The hike lasted way too long in my opinion, but that didn't matter. We still hadn't spotted Jinyoung, who probably wasn't on the hike at all. But why?
The question wasn't exactly answered, but when we arrived back at the camp, Jinyoung was in his bed, covered by his bedsheets.
"Woah, Jinyoung, there you are!" Hyunsuk started taking steps towards the bed, but Jinyoung let out a grunt that basically meant keep away. "What's going on?"
He was quiet for a few minutes, in which Hyunsuk had given up. Before either of us could turn away, he said something quietly.
"Meet me in Byounggon's tent."
That was all we were able to get out of him, which made sense. After all, he sounded like he'd been crying.
