"It's too early and cold for this."

"Oh, hush, Hyunsuk." Yonghee, ironically, snuggled into his side. "It's for the vibes."

Hyunsuk looked as though he would shrug him off, but he reconsidered. "4am is not vibes, in my humble opinion."

"Humble, says the rich kid," Jinyoung chuckled. "Oh, here it is."

The taxi they had ordered swung in front of the motel, and the group piled inside. The way the taxi was set up, there were barriers between CIX and the driver.

The driver turned, opening the barrier. "Where to?"

"Can we just drive around for, like, half an hour?" Seunghun asked. "Maybe pass by the street market. Not to go inside, or anything, but just to see."

The driver looked confused (of course he was, the street market was closed), but he didn't say anything, turning back around and beginning to drive.

"Can I say something?" Byounggon asked.

"Shoot."

Byounggon's voice dropped low. "The barrier reminds me of a cop car."

"Oh, I almost can't wait for that." Hyunsuk whispered. "You know, my mom always thought I'd be a cop. I don't think this is what she wanted."

The group laughed. Jinyoung sighed. "It's crazy to think that this is practically it, isn't it?"

"Yeah," Yonghee answered. "The life of CIX. Three weeks."

"Give or take." Byounggon glanced out of the window. "Look, the street market!"

Surprisingly, there were fairy lights decorating the era. The glow of the shops was evident, lighting up things that maybe, another day in another life, CIX would be able to visit during the day and get something nice together.

Together. That was one thing that they would always be.
