In their time together, Yonghee had discovered that Jinyoung didn't know how to solve a problem. All of his just end with move.
Needed to leave a crime scene? Move. Had to leave one place? Move. Police finding them? Move. Yonghee didn't know if Jinyoung was able to make a decision that didn't involve leaving behind everything and moving on.
There were a few things Jinyoung never left behind, actually. The newspapers, for one, for fear of a paper trail (valid) and his burner phone, which Yonghee had never actually seen Jinyoung use.
He knew that Jinyoung didn't like that. Yonghee had seen firsthand how close Jaeseok and Jinyoung were, something between a father and son, brothers, and best friends. Jaeseok was a guardian, definitely, and Yonghee wished that he had been that close to someone in his family. They didn't sound like they cared much in the news articles.
That was the one part that Yonghee had enjoyed about the news articles. Guessing who was which letter of the alphabet had been each of them was fun until they had figured it out. Now it was just seeing Seunghun and Hyunsuk's parents' disbelief, Byounggon's parents' hatred, Jaeseok's absence from it all, and Yonghee's parents' indifference.
Anyways. Moving. Instead of moving cities again, the group had decided to just move to a new hotel. Something about this one felt different. So different, in fact, that Hyunsuk's uptightness he'd been keeping after the las two moves was melting away. The room was no different from one they had been in before, but that was almost what added charm.
Yonghee could almost agree.
