Huening Kai, quite honestly, didn't know what was going on.
One minute, he was giggling with all of his friends about the next person they'd decided to tease at the camp. The next, that person—Huening Kai couldn't even remember his name—was gone with their friends, and the camp leader was dead.
Now, he had been shoved into an interview room, but he didn't know anything about what was happening. An officer entered the room, and Huening Kai immediately tensed.
"Hello, Huening Kai."
He didn't like that. "Hi..."
"I'm just going to ask you a few questions," the officer continued. "Don't worry, you'll be out of here soon."
Huening Kai nodded. He didn't know what he was going to say.
"Do you recognize the names Lee Byounggon, Kim Seunghun, Kim Yonghee, Bae Jinyoung, or Yoon Hyunsuk?"
Hyunsuk. "Hyunsuk's," he answered.
"Do you mind telling me how?"
"I bothered him with my friends a few times," Huening Kai answered. "We didn't talk much."
"Right." The officer wrote something down. "Would you say he every acted suspicious?"
"He pushed me away, but that's because he thought I was annoying." Huening Kai looked down at his hands. He was terrified. "I don't know. He seemed close with the others."
"So you do know the others?"
"Well, not their names, but I assume they're his friends."
"But you said you didn't know them."
Huening Kai looked up at the officer, who's eyes were glaring at him. "I don't know their names. Well, now I do."
"So you do recognize them?"
"Well, no—"
"Huening Kai, you are expected to tell the truth." The officer stood up. "Do you know them or not?"
"Well, sort of?"
The officer sighed. "Wait here," he huffed, storming out of the room.
Huening Kai sat carefully, hands in his lap. He didn't want to be here anymore. He didn't want to give his interview anymore. He said all that he knew, and that was all he had.
He sighed and tried his hardest to not cry.
