Minutes went by like hours on D-Day. They always had for me, which was a good thing; it allowed me to pay attention to detail.

Like how suspicious everyone else was acting.

I managed to straighten out the problem during breakfast, and our hike must've shaken off some of the nerves, because lunch went by like a breeze.

On our final activity of the day, I recapped the plan with everyone, tucked into a corner away from the other campers. Seunghun and I would make noise. Once we were in the tent, we would stall for a few minutes while Yonghee, Hyunsuk, and Byounggon brought down the latter's tent. When it was time to go, I'd say the keyword "quit it", and Seunghun would jump behind Seojun and cover his mouth while I went in for the kill. As soon as we were sure he was beyond the point of saving, dead or not, we'd flee out to where Jaeseok was.

I gave Jaeseok another brief confirmation call, and he was for sure going to be there. As long as we all played our roles, nothing would go wrong. This was just like any other murder I'd gone through with.

Murder the person, hide– escape.

Murder the person, escape.

Murder Seojun, and escape.

Murder Seojun, and escape with four other people in tow.

Easy. Light work, even.

By the time I snapped back into reality, our bags were neatly packed into the corner or Byounggon's tent.

Byounggon cleared his throat. "So, we just stay here?"

"Yes." I located the knife with a flashlight. I shoved it in my belt, pulling my cardigan over it. "Seunghun, you ready?"

Seunghun sighed. "Mentally, no. Physically, I guess?"

I appreciated his honesty, but it was time for us to go. I heard him say something to the others before following behind me, upping the brightness of the flashlight. "So, uh, what should we be talking about?"

"Maybe..." Seojun's tent was upcoming. I immediately thought back to what I'd seen with Areum and Sunghoon. "I really wonder how far these trails go."

"That's why we're checking them out, idiot."

Seunghun was quick picking up on my tone, following along. I laughed a bit. This would be an absolute walk in the park.

Before I could say anything, I stepped on a stick. It was placed exactly where Taehyun had knocked the wood from my hands yesterday, which is why I hadn't noticed. I should've been paying better attention! I wasn't ready to see...

I cast Seunghun a quick look, his face painted with the same surprise. When I turned forwards again, Seojun was crawling out of his tent, the disorganized look on his face quickly changing to a cocky grin when he realized which two campers were standing in front of him, breaking the rules.

"Well, what do we have here?" I could read his mind. Well, how lucky am I? He pointed towards his tent, and I knew that there was no going back or slipping out of this one. "Why don't you two come into my tent for a little talk?"
