Making campfires was a great skill that I would love to learn before going on a hike, but that wasn't on Seojun's schedule. I clung to the back of the pack with Yonghee and Hyunsuk, though Yonghee was quickly distracted by Areum.
I sighed, needing to say something. "Do you think you have expectations?"
"Expectations?"
"Expectations, assumptions. Stereotypes, that's what I mean." I stopped to gether my thoughts. "You know, like I assume that since you're rich, you go to a preppy school and usually spend your summer doing equestrian or some shit."
"Equestrian is pretentious," Hyunsuk grumbled. "I guess everyone thinks that I have a perfect life. I don't think... people don't expect me to get in trouble."
"Huh." I kicked a rock. "Still, even if you did, you could just pay off whatever's happened to you. You're a trust fund baby in the making, if not already one."
"Well, my parents are going to pay when I go to university..."
Oh course they were. "Wow, you've got a future. That sounds nice."
I didn't even realize that the words had left my mouth. The only sign was Hyunsuk's sudden silence, a wise decision for him to not speak for once.
"Wow, Jinyoung." Almost immediately, someone else stepped into line beside us. I could tell by the cockiness in his tone that it had to be Heeseung, who was part of another one of the random cliques. "What could you possibly have going on?"
I bit my tongue. While I had accidently let on a little more than I meant to with Hyunsuk, there was no way i'd make the same mistake with Heeseung. If anything, I wouldn't say a word at all.
This didnt seem to be what Heeseung wanted. He threw an arm around me. "You're so shy now, aren't you?"
Whatever he said. I wriggled out of Heeseung's hold, shoving him ahead of us. Yonghee resumed his position on my right suddenly, but at least now he and Yonghee surrounded me.
