Getting back from the hike was torture. I never liked going uphill, and that was something that was reinforced on the walk back to the cabin.
Yonghee, Jinyoung, and I slowly got split apart in the clump of students. I walked on my own for a few minutes, puffing as I walked up the path. It was fine. Yes, it was getting dark, but I just needed to get to camp, wash up, and sleep.
"Oh, there you are!"
I, unfortunately, knew that voice. It was... Gyu. Whatever the front half of his name was, I didn't care enough to listen to it on the first day. "What."
"What?" He sneered at me. "Get a load of this guy. I'm just trying to have a friendly conversation. You're the one with pent-up anger. I bet you don't even know my name."
"I know it ends in Gyu. What, you know mine?"
Jun, as I remembered, snickered. "Beomgyu, admit defeat."
"Oh, shut it, Yeonjun."
At least I knew what their names were. Why were they even bothering me anyways? I thought about turning back to counting my ones and twos, but then Beomgyu laced his fingers in my hair and tugged.
"Ow, shit!" I slapped his hand away. "What the fuck are you doing?"
I cut myself off before I said any more. He wanted a reaction from me. Why did he hate me so much anyways?
We arrived back at the camp just ten minutes before 9 which was barely enough time to wash up. Jinyoung hadn't even bothered, crashing into bed the moment we were back at our cabin.
"You're such a goody-two shoes," Yonghee joked, grabbing his towel out of his duffel bag.
"You're the only person I know who's actually asleep at curfew," I added with a nod. Well, excluding that first night, of course.
Jinyoung, surprisingly, rolled his eyes. "I try to be, but your loud asses are always yelling in the middle of the night."
Yonghee started towards the door, and I followed him. "We are not! You're literally an angel, Jinyoung. I don't know how you do it."
Jinyoung muttered something under his breath, but I barely realized it before Yonghee was pulling me out the door.
