Of course, good times didn't last forever.
Jinyoung rubbed his eyes awake a few days later, wondering the time. That didn't matter as much as the fact that Jaeseok was shaking him awake, however.
"Jinyoung," he whispered, hushed. "You have to leave."
"Already?"
"The police know." Jaeseok began reaching for the rest of CIX, gently shaking them awake. "They know, and you can't stay here. I wish I could do something more, if anything, but I can't."
Jinyoung registered the words. They needed to leave.
He jumped out of bed and picked up the duffel he had been packing together for days. It now had a good sum of money that Jaeseok had given them, numbers in changes of clothing, and a fake ID. As he did, the others began to wake up, Jaeseok updating them on the situation as he got them to move.
By the time they were all up and practically out the door, Jaeseok had one last thing. "Hold on," he said to Jinyoung, pulling out both Jinyoung's burner phone and... a gun.
"Take them," he said. "Tell me how you guys are and... stay safe." Jaeseok sighed. "I'm going to miss you, Jinyoung."
"I'll be able to come back," Jinyoung said. "I'll come back. I always have."
Jinyoung turned, pointing the others out the door.
