"We have to come up with a plan."
CIX were now sitting in the middle of an alleyway, having no other place to turn to, everything felt dangerous to them, especially that vast, open field that they had first been in.
"Okay, Hyunsuk, we all figured out that much," Yonghee grumbled. "What can we even do? What are we supposed to do?"
"Leave," Jinyoung answered. "That's always what happens. We have to leave. Seoul, at least. In an ideal world, the country."
"We have to leave Seoul?" Hyunsuk asked. "But..."
"Hyunsuk," Seunghun sighed, "your parents have likely figured out that you're one of the campers involved with Seojun's case. When you didn't return home, that would've been an immediate flag."
"But—"
"He's right," Byounggon answered. "They've probably handed over your photo to the police, if we're being honest."
Hyunsuk sighed, but he didn't argue anything more.
"So, leaving Seoul." Yonghee turned to Jinyoung. "Where are we going?"
"I don't think Busan is a good idea," Jinyoung answered. "Or Daegu. Too many people there, and they'd know too much. Plus, it would be expensive to get there, and I don't want to blow all the money Jaeseok gave us since we can't even get jobs." He tapped the ground beside him. "We should go to Paju."
"Paju?"
"Middle of nowhere." Jinyoung shrugged. "It's our best bet. But we need to buy train tickets and get there fast before people know who we are."
There was no better option.
