Sunoo woke up confused.
The camp was shockingly peaceful. Birds chirping, a soft breeze outside of his cabin. He rolled over and glanced at Riki across the room, who was completely snoring.
Curious as to why Seojun wasn't trying to get the campers up like usual, he exited the cabin. Doing so, he found Soobin outside as well, looking around the tents.
"I still don't know which tent is Seojun's," Soobin said upon seeing Sunoo.
"I do." Sunoo started leading him over. "Can you imagine, the camp leader himself sleeping through the day."
Finding Sunoo's tent, he noticed it was slightly open. Weird. Still, he pulled back the flap of the tent and blanked.
Sunoo woke up staring at the sky, groaning. At the sound, he heard someone call something out, and Riki's face popped into view. "Sunoo, are you alright?"
Sunoo couldn't think. Blood. So much blood. "Water."
"Right, right." Riki helped him sit up as someone else—Yeonjun?—handed over some water. Like this, Sunoo could see that the campers were all gathered. Soobin seemed to be fine, likely not having fainted, and he rushed over once he saw that Sunoo was sitting up.
"I called 119," he told him. "I doubt that they can do anything now, but someone's going to have to get him out of here."
"Right." Sunoo felt a little less faint, but he wished he could've forgotten what he'd seen.
"Wait." Soobin shot up, looking around the camp frantically. He pointed at a scrawny kid who jumped when he was pointed out. "You. Where are the other campers from your tent?"
The kid looked around and shrugged.
Soobin's face changed. "Where is Bae Jinyoung, Kim Yonghee, and Yoon Hyunsuk?"
As he stormed off towards the cabins, Riki looked over at Soobin for a moment, then back as Sunoo. "Will you be alright?"
"Yeah. Don't worry about me."
Riki nodded, running off to follow Soobin. He found him with the Chrysanthemum cabin door wide open, three beds completely empty.
"Nothing." Soobin said, turning to Riki. "Not a trace. Do you know what that means?"
Riki had a few ideas. "No."
"I think they murdered Mr. Lee."
It was outlandish and crazy to say, but it was the only thing that made sense. No trace of three campers at the least.
"Not only that," Soobin continued, "but I didn't see a trace of either of their new friends. Who were they... Lee Byounggon and Kim Seunghun?"
Riki did notice that the number of tents seemed to be off. A kidnapping wasn't likely either, because their belongings wouldn't be taken so easily either. It was too likely to deny.
"Wow, I'm surprised Seunghun would kill Mr. Lee," Soobin laughed as he and Riki walked back to the others. "I thought they were in love."
That was... off. Seunghun had a general distaste for the camp leader, at least as far as Riki could tell. Seojun, on the other hand, seemed to be... weird about Seunghun, whatever that meant. Riki didn't like what Soobin said, but he wasn't going to say anything about it. Still, there had to be a reason.
There had to be a reason.
