Optimus was never one for love, but sometimes the universe has other plans, or so he'd like to think. Because when he met you, everything changed. You were his first thought before and after recharge, on his mind all day long. You simply had to smile for his heart to race, clearing away any negativity swirling in him. You were the sunlight in the darkness, and there was nothing he wouldn't do to protect you. But, there came a time when there was too much to handle. A time he thought and prayed for to never happen. But it did, and he had no choice but to watch as you slipped away from him. Now, Optimus was left with little memories of you everywhere he went. Beautiful memories that brought out joy and pain at the same time, pain that he wished to never have to encounter. Pain that he would tolerate for the joy.
