Shockwave had captured you a long time ago. At first, you thought he was going to kill you, or experiment on you. Sure, that might've been his first intentions, but as he got to know you, he realized humans weren't that bad. So he decided to keep you as a pet. One thing he wasn't expecting was to grow attached to you, to the point where his main concern every day was making sure you were alive and well. If you missed a lot, he would send you out with a vehicon escort to get whatever it was, or explore the world. Shockwave made sure Predaking was aware enough to not hurt you, and swore that anyone who would touch you would be in a considerable amount of trouble. Shockwave cared deeply for you, to the point where the second there was danger, you were the first thought on his mind.
