Breakdown wasn't the nicest bot to others, particularly Autobots. You happened to be close friends with Bumblebee after he saved you from a rogue cybertronian bounty-hunter who had declared you good bait for your guardian. But this friendship sparked some feelings from Breakdown. He was extremely jealous that the scout had been there for you and he hadn't. So sure, he was quite rude to the yellow Autobot. But you were always there to stop him from really hurting Bumblebee.
