Y/n's POV:

I carefully stood in the centre of a short wooden stool, untangling another knott I'd found in the light fixtures as I hung them up along the edges of the tent, hooking them in place.

I had gotten some fairy lights in a package from Dad just in time for the new years party preparations. He'd said he'd been cleaning through some old stuff when he found them, deciding it would be a fun idea to add them to the party as decor pieces. And to also add more of a traditional Muggle party twist to the party, that would go along perfectly with the food and other stuff he'd managed to salvage from the attic.

Wiping my forehead with the back of my hand as the sweat had begun to make my hair stick to it, I flicked the switch to turn the lights on before I carefully got off the stool. I grinned proudly at the sight, taking a look around as they aluminated the inside of the tent.

"Well done, Y/n! This looks just lovely." Molly clasped her hands together in delight as she took a look at my work, a noticeable proud smile on her face as she did.

"Thank you, Molly." I smiled in return, turning my gaze towards Bill as he entered only seconds later with some more decorations.

"Wow, this place looks amazing." He complimented, shrugging off his jacket under the warmth of the tent.

Despite the fact that it was the dead of winter, the Weasley's had decided to have the party outside. That way, we would be able to invite more guests. But the only other people that where going to be invited where some more of the Weasley family, which concluded of some distant cousins, aunts and uncles, as well as a few close family friends. So with a little help from some Magic spells, the tent had been built within minutes, and was also able to contain some heat on the inside some that none of us would freeze to death while we celebrated. I was also happy to hear my Dad wasn't going to be here for the party, but I wasn't going to tell anybody that.

"It's all thanks to Y/n. The lights really brighten this place up!" Molly gushed, my cheeks burning at the compliment.

"It's just some lights." I mumbled, an awkward smile on my face.

"Oh nonsense!" She objected. "This place looks amazing. It'll all be perfect and done just in time for the party."

It had been crazy how fast the past few days had gone by, and I would be sad to leave the Weasley's again so soon. The beginning of the term was only a few days into the new year, and I was growing a little concerned about going back.

New term also ment new responsibility, which only added to the list of homework and other things that needed to get done. I wasn't the best academically, but I was greatfully not the worst. There where obviously some subjects I was better at than others, but I wanted to be able to at least pass all of my classes so I had a wider opportunity of what I wanted to do in life. And I still had no clue what I wanted to do or where I wanted to work.

People like Percy had this all planned out, what the wanted to do, what they needed to work on and worry less about - the put together type. I... was not. Which was why I was so thankful he was always so willing to help me study. He was the top of his class for almost everything, which I consider to be pretty impressive on my part. And pretty useful. Though he could definitely cut back on the perfection, maybe give us other people a chance, he was great help.

"No, Mum's right, it looks really good, Y/n." Percy suddenly appeared by my side, complimenting my efforts to jazz up the place.

I felt a smile stretch to my lips, biting the inside of my cheek. "Thank you, Perce."

Molly quickly noticed our exchange, eyes landing on me as she sent me a knowing glance. I was able to resist rolling my eyes just this once, turning my attention back to Charlie as he burst into the warm tent.
