BLANK PAGES: THREE

ZOE'S POV

It has been—I don't know, almost a month? And I still couldn't forget those happenings. Though, unlike in the past weeks, I am no longer in the denial stage. Finally, I have accepted the fact that what happened, while I was in a coma, was just a work of my imagination.

None of it was real.

I took a deep breath and let it out as I stared at the garden, right outside the window of our classroom.

After finally being able to fully recover from the accident, I was able to attend classes and complete the tasks that I have missed.

It wasn't just a notebook, it was a diary. I actually do not know the reason why I chose those numbers.

I took a deep breath before planning to write my first diary entry after that accident.

Lunchtime na eh," Silvia said while standing in front of my chair.

I smiled and nodded.

"Sure. See you both later." They headed out before I took my shoulder bag and the book, and left the room as well.

It's my way of not giving hell about other people.

Last month, Zaina informed me about Josue and Silvia. They're a couple that was my friends in college, right before I got into an accident. Unfortunately, isa sila sa mga nakalimutan ko. Though little by little, fragments of my forgotten memories were coming back.

But even though I am now fully aware of what's real and what's not, I still couldn't help but at least wish... wish for the imagination me to be able to confess to Kaine and maybe have their happily ever after.

I stopped at the library door and pushed it open.

As soon as I finished my business there, I quickly left the room and went to the cafeteria.

My eyes widened in shock and worry when I saw it split into two pieces. For Pete's sake, kabibili ko lang nito last week!

"I'm sorry.

"It's already done. Kainis!"

"Look, Miss. I'm sorry. I'll just pay you—"

Iritado akong tumingin sa kanya. "Wala akong pake—Kaine?" K-Kaine... His... His face. It's the same as Kaine.

"Excuse me, Miss but my name is not Kaine." Biglang may tumunog na cellphone at mukhang sa kanya 'yun. "I'm sorry about your earphone, Miss..." Tiningnan nito ang ID ko. "Miss Zoe, but I still have some errands to do. Sorry. Gotta go."

That... That guy. He looks exactly like Kaine.

What the actual what?
