The next morning, we all gathered at Nancys place and head to the basement. Max was sitting down at the desk, listening to music as she wrote some letters. Robin, Nancy and I went to the school where Nancys friends at the newspaper, made us some fake documents and well, hopefully our plan goes swell.

We went over the plan with everyone, showing off our profile, we are now psychological students at the University of Norte Dame. Nancy is Ruth, Robin is Rose and Im Betty. We've called Pennhurst Asylum, told we like to speak with Creel for a thesis we are writing on paranoid schizophrenics, but we do have a meeting at 3 with the director. We have to charm him and convince him to let us talk to Creel.

I looked over at Max, who hasn't moved. Nancy was tugging me as we were heading to room to get ready. Steve was complaining about how why isn't he in the plan to Nancy.

"Ill stay." I said. Everyone looks at me.

"Wendy, we need you. We need you to tell Victor-"

"I cant leave Max. I don't want to leave her." I turned to the girls and Steve. "If something happens to her, I wont forgive myself. I rather stay here and protect her. You guys find out how to save her."

"Go Wendy." Max tells me as she turns around the chair. "Ill be okay."

"Max-"

"Do me that favor, please. If Vecna gets me, you still have a chance to save yourself." I shook my head. "I won't forgive you if you don't go." She comes up and hugs me. "It's okay."

"I promise I'll find a way." Nancy tossed some clothes on her bed and kicked Steve out as we got dressed. I stood in front of the mirror, looking at myself, looking what the mind flyer gave me. The scar was big and was very much noticeable. I hated it. The girls back at Lenora Hills whispered, gossip, what had happened, gunshot, cut, those guesses were way better than the actual reason.

My finger ran against the rough skin. Flashbacks came back, hitting me as if i was there again. But I would do it all it again, protect the kids. I jumped out of my thoughts as Nancy knocks and asks if everything was okay, and if its okay to come in. I called out and she shuts the door behind her. She fixed my hair and I just stayed quiet.

"Hows Jonathan?"

"Hes okay, missing you like crazy." I cleared my throat. "Why didn't you go see him? You know, you could've gone with Mike."

"Some part of me wanted me to but I also wanted him to come." She quietly said. "Does he still love me?"

"Are you joking? My cousin is over the hills for you still. We are at the point of our lives where its just hard seeing each other, different states, different time schedules. If you still love each other, i know you'll make it work." She smiled back at me.
