Nathan's POV

That was easily the craziest thing I've ever witnessed in my life. Less than forty-eight hours ago, my life was fairly normal, and yet now, I've seen magic, met a witch, and just watched my brother be claimed by a Norse God. I can't quit shaking my head.

Not long after Odin's disappearance, Gabe had walked Eveleen to her cottage. She said the spells had really drained her and she needed sleep. The way Gabe looked at her was complete adoration. He couldn't keep his eyes off of her. I've never seen him look that happy. Even when she was here, he would be happy, but it was always like a puppy wanting attention. With Eveleen, he was confident, more confident than he's ever been in all the years I've known him. For the first time since grade school, Gabe seemed to have found his place in the world.

The door slamming drew me out of my thoughts. "Hey man, how are you feeling? Tonight was wild," Luke exclaimed as Gabe walked in.

Gabe had a huge grin on his face as he spoke, "Yeah, it's crazy, isn't it? I feel fuckin amazing like I could take on the world! I don't know how else to explain it." He ran his fingers over his newly acquired tattoos.

"So what do they mean," I asked, pointing at his wrists.

He held out his arms for all of us to see. "They're triskelions, also known as the three horns of Odin. Vikings would wear cuffs to show their allegiance to their barons, but the horns were a symbol of allegiance to Odin, the Allfather." His face screwed up in a weird look. "Fuck, man, I didn't even know I knew that until I just said it. This is really trippy."

Victor leaned forward, his elbows on his knees, "So what about you and Eveleen? It seems like you two have gotten close really fast." I knew what he was worried about, heck I think all of us were worried about the past repeating itself.

Gabe sat down letting out a long breath. "I'm in love with her. I think I fell the first time I heard her voice in my mind that day in the car." He ran his hands through his hair, then met Victor's gaze. "I don't expect you to understand, but there's this connection that's formed with us. For fuck sake, can communicate telepathically." We all were startled at this new piece of information. "I think the magic just accelerated what was always meant to be. Even Odin put her hand in mine and told her to care for me. Hell, if that's not a cosmic sign, I don't know what is, Vic."

"So does that mean you'll follow her back to Ireland when she leaves?" Kota asked hesitantly. Shit, is this the end of our family? I hadn't even thought about that.

"I don't know. We haven't really talked about anything. But I do know, I don't want to be away from her." I think he saw the worry in our faces. "Look guys, this isn't even about sex. I'm mean of course Eveleen's beautiful - sexy as fuck, but it's way more than that. I want a life with her - marriage, kids, the whole fuckin package, but I don't know if that's what she wants. Fuckety, fuck, shit, fuck...aarrgghh! I can't think anymore, I'm going to bed," he grumbled as he walked off.

Owen slowly stood, "Let's not worry about it for now. She's not leaving anytime soon. We still have a mission to work on and people to save. We all need to focus on that for now. Let's regroup at breakfast in the morning and figure out our next steps, brothers."

We half-heartedly agreed and retired to our rooms.
