Part 1: Unforeseen complications

Eveleen's POV

Michael had turned ten this year and I decided it was time for this family to get back to missions. While Gabriel and I had been overjoyed to become parents again, the strain of not knowing who "D" was or what he really wanted took its toll. Tensions had grown and we needed something to pull us back together.

"So the mission is in a vampire bar," Owen informed us with a blush on his cheeks.

"What aren't you saying, Owen?" North asked.

"It's a BDSM vampire bar," he sighed, "the Council has had reports about abductions and humans being drugged. All of the events seem to be happening during pet play nights."

Luke giggled, "Who gets to be North's pet?" I cleared my throat and his mouth dropped. "Oh hell no, Pixie!"

I waved my hand, changing my appearance. I was now in a small babydoll nightie with kitten ears, an attached tail, and a satiny black collar with a tiny bell. "What, I don't look good as a kitty?" I teased. The room filled with groans and growls as my men readjusted themselves. I curled my fingers at North. "It could be fun, mo chosantóir," I purred.

He grabbed my chin roughly and ran his tongue along my lips, "How am I supposed to focus on catching a rogue vampire when all I'm going to want to do is punish that little kitten ass?" The mention of punishment sent shivers down my back, as moisture pooled between my legs. He turned and looked at Brandon, "You want to accompany us, baby?"

Brandon chuckled, giving North a sassy glare, "Am I a kitten too?"

He smirked, "I'm thinking you're more of a puppy, or we could say you're in training and haven't figured out what you are just yet. It will keep the two of you together when you are caged with the other pets. I don't like the idea of either of you being alone."

"Yeah, sounds good. You gonna make me a cute outfit too, Firecracker," he teased, giving me a wink.

I giggled, "Oh, I think a nice tight pair of speedos and a leather collar would be good." My eyes twinkled at the thought. I heard North growl under his breath as Brandon paled.

"Ástvinur, I think you might be enjoying this a bit much," Loki said as he ran his fingers lightly over my shoulder. "Did you have anything to do with Owen getting this mission?" I blinked my eyes innocently. Maybe I did, but I'll be damned if I admit it. He just laughed at my reaction.

"Damn, now I'm jealous of not being a vampire," Gabe pouted. I straddled his lap and kissed him soundly.

"We can pretend," I cooed, then bit his neck, making him yelp.

When we reached the club, North was fully vamped out, with no trace of his human form. He led us in behind him, both collared, but allowed to walk upright for now. A large vampire stepped around the counter to greet North, then began to inspect Brandon and me. "Here are the forms we discussed earlier, sir," the vampire said, pushing papers across the counter. North skimmed them, but didn't pay much attention then signed them.

A pair of jewel-encrusted collars appeared in the man's hands, and he placed them on both of us. I felt myself lower to the ground and whined. I couldn't reach out with my link, and my thoughts became unclear. I opened my mouth to ask for help, "Meeeooowww," I cried out, then shook my head and tried again, "Meow, meow," my voice wouldn't work.

"What the fuck?" North boomed. "What the hell did you do to her?"

The vampire looked at him in confusion. "Sir, it's in the contract. Pet night requires humans to be pets. The collar brings out the trait they are dressed as, so your female is a kitten for the duration of the night." North fumed and cussed but the owner cut him off, "It's right here," he said pointing to the paper North had just signed. "I cannot remove the collars for at least four hours without serious risk to the health of your pet. However, if you no longer wish to perform, I can offer you a private chamber to wait out the evening."
