Was it Me against the Devil?

The question still remained in the air, like a silent murderer. Was it Me against the Devil? Or was it Me against myself? The amount of time I was thinking for was but a little cloud in my mind. A fragile little moment. At school I saw her walk into the lunch room with Wynrie and she glanced at me and smiled and tried to pretend she didn't see me. Then he walked into the room. Zeb. He was rumored to be Wynrie's foster brother and he was a pig, piece of shit. Word around was he liked raping girls and threatening them after. Saying if they told, he'd find them and kill the whole family and make the girls watch, helpless.

Rhaven and Wynrie stuck close together at school everyday and everyone knew why. Rhaven often got into altercations with guys, physically fighting them with no fear or second thought. Rhaven was a very bipolar girl because she wanted someone one minute and then suddenly out of nowhere she'd rather be with someone else who wants her forever. Very manically bipolar. Ryder came into the school and she immediately went to go find him, leaving Wynrie alone. He came towards the cafeteria doorway when she stopped him and he gave her something in a box. A small box and that box gave me a funny feeling.

When she opened it, she just looked at him and then she closed it and pulled him off to the side where the lockers were and began talking about the box and its contents. "You can't be serious, Ryde. Like no way are you for real here. An engagement ring?! Seriously? Why, because you actually feel bad for making me just a booty-call," she scoffed. "I don't want him to have you because of the way I feel you. I know things are really fucked up but Rhave, I do love you. I know sometimes I have really fucked up ways of showing it, but I do. I want you to be mine, forever. Also, to make him feel a little jealous, not even going to lie," he replied. I was using my powers to overhear EVERYTHING and boy, did I hear it all...

He made it super obvious about his intentions but she was so infatuated that she was looking right past them. "I also want to have a family together so let's have a baby, right now," Ryder said. The look of shock and weariness shown heavily on her face. She wanted to cry and be happy and scream at him because she figured this was another one of his cruel jokes. "Now, I know that you aren't serious about the baby. Maybe the engagement stuff, but a baby?! Really, Ryder,' she asked. He nodded.

She felt a little like she was about to be sick because she was possibly getting her happy life she craved so badly. I felt like I was just going to be SICK because my worst nightmare was mentioned and I didn't want this to become a reality. "I don't want this to become a reality. She wasn't going to marry him or have his baby," I thought in my mind. Daemon's voice was low but he said," Let's go to the spot and get you calmed down, c'mon." I didn't feel mad, so I wasn't too sure what he meant in that moment, until I went to the spot...
