"Sing daddy!" Capri squeals from the backseat, my eyes going to her through the mirror

"Sing daddy!" Capri squeals from the backseat, my eyes going to her through the mirror.

"But I'm listening to your singing, Bub." I smile, seeing her giggle happily as her hands move to press against her cheeks.

"Put on melon sugar... high!" She sings away, her words muffled because she's pressing her cheeks together and due to her baby lisp.

Grinning, I use the buttons on the steering wheel to change the song to Watermelon Sugar, the first note plays around the car and Capri breaks into louder excited giggles.

"It's daddy's song, P!" She turns to her sister who's been quietly nodding her head to the music while she focuses out of the window.

Posie turns to look at Capri, "I know Cece, we play it at school sometimes."

Capri gasps, covering her mouth like what Posie said was the most shocking news she's ever heard but her attention is taken when the chorus begins and she's belting out her best attempt at the lyrics.

"Melon sugar, high! Melon sugar, high! Melon sugar, high!" She sings along, "sing with me daddy!"

I give in this time, joining in with her adorable little voice.

"Strawberries, on a summer evenin'! Baby you're the end of June!" She giggles louder when I sing, smiling so bright her cheeks must ache.

I let her have the spotlight for the second chorus and the ending of the song, Posie even joining in for a little bit. We ended up listening to a lot of the songs off of fine line just excluding falling, fine line, to be so lonely and cherry.

The girls were desperate to listen to cherry, both of them telling me it's their favourite fruit so we had to listen to it but thankfully we got to the shopping centre.

The main reason I couldn't play it for them is because the ending includes their mother's voice and I don't want them going home and telling Addie. I'll tell her about it when she's ready to listen to the song, I assume she hasn't because she's never mentioned anything.

I lift Capri out of the car, holding her while I shut the car door with my hip. Posie walks around the car to me, reaching to take my hand which I take tightly in mine.

Bringing these two out in public will most likely attract attention from my fans, I'm nervous about it but I spoke to Addie about it and she was fine for them to still come as long as no one takes a picture with the girls and that I don't yet announce they are my daughters.

That second one might be hard seeing as the girls call me 'daddy' but as long as I don't go around telling people it should be fine, I'm hoping.

"Alright, where to first little bubs?" I ask, walking towards the entrance of the shopping centre.
